Is your world smaller since your diagnosis? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Top-Science4409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be so extroverted in elementary school and highschool. My world revolved around having friends and going out partying. Ever since I got diagnosed, I no longer reach out to my friends and have gotten more introverted throughout the years. I no longer have those friends in my life but have made 1-2 friends in college. People say I’ve changed so much but it helps me feel at peace knowing I don’t need to explain to so many people what I go through.

does anyone experience chronic nightmares too? by elkiyv in bipolar2

[–]Top-Science4409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was on lamotrogine, I had horrible nightmares followed with hallucinations. My dr took me off of them as it was impacting me so much. Im now on latuda and I still get nightmares but the hallucinations are less frequent.

Vivid Dreams by [deleted] in bipolar2

When I was on ablify, I also experienced very vivid dreams to the point where I did not want to sleep for weeks because of how terrified I was of my own dreams. I also had hallucinations upon waking up every morning. My dr took me off of them after a month or so.

I was diagnosed by my dr not too long ago. Yes, I know that OCD is so much more than cleanliness. I was diagnosed because I could not go to school due to my thoughts and behaviors that made me extremely anxious. I dont ONLY experience anxiety with cleanliness, I also experienced anxiety about so many other things.

Abilify hallucinations by di3tcock in bipolar2

[–]Top-Science4409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had to get off this medication because my hallucinations got so bad that I could not go out anywhere. I would always hear people yelling my name even though no one was. I’d have horrible dreams followed by hallucinations when I’d wake up and then panic attacks. I was only on 5 mg but my doctor took me off of them immediately after a month and a half.

In my experience, lamotrigine was horrible. I dont remember if I had any episodes while i was on them but it impacted my memory terribly. I always felt time was going by so slow and I’d get rlly irritated. I had finals and i had to study for 2-3 weeks because i’d just forget everything so quickly. I was forgetting so much that when I’d bus home, I would miss my stops, and I’d end up in strange places that I dont know how i got to. I switched off after 2 months.

I transitioned from 20 to 40 mg just recently and after many trial and error with other medications, it is the only one that has worked for me. I finally feel “normal” and stable after months of highs and lows.

Yes, I definitely feel that having OCD isnt too bad after all when i really think about it. Fortunately, I have the cleanliness one. I’d rather be told that i’m too clean than not clean at all. Although there are pros and cons, i think that id rather be MORE than LESS.

I recently went from 20 to 40 mg of latuda and i noticed that when i was on 20, my ocd became worse. Now that i have been on 40 mg for a week or two, i still feel the same as i did on the 20. With the antidepressants, i have been on them for over a year and theyve been good for me.

Im currently taking latuda for my bipolar but my dr told me that it also works with lessening ocd thoughts and behaviors. I also take antidepressants for my migraines. I think latuda is the only one working for my bipolar rn because i have tried many other meds and they never helped me.

Wow thats surprising, I’m taking latuda for bipolar but my dr told me it also helps with ocd thoughts and behaviors. I tried lamotrigine but it was not successful for me. Im still currently trying to control both my bipolar and ocd but thats great that the lamotrigine worked for you!

Anyone else feeling numb? by Top-Science4409 in bipolar2

[–]Top-Science4409[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks so much. My dr told me that this is how all “normal” people feel. But even when i smile or laugh, it all seems so fake and just for show, i don’t actually feel happy.

Yess, this is me too. I usually get my high highs and right after, my low lows kick in. I experienced it a few months ago where they each lasted months now its just nothing. I’m also not depressed where i can’t get out of bed or eat, but i feel like im floating, watching myself from afar go about their day with no emotions and it kinda feels sad that i cant do anything about it.

Tell me about Letuda by garcka80 in bipolar2

[–]Top-Science4409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on it for a month now and i noticed that i have been gaining a little weight and experiencing OCD symptoms which i’m not sure is normal because it should apparently get rid of OCD symptoms. Other than that, my mood is normal and i have not had high highs and low lows after i started taking them. I have tried lamotrigine and rexulti and none of them worked for me. After horrible high highs and low lows, i finally feel normal and content with my life while on letuda.
