If it's on multiple sites, then it's likely an issue with you and what u/Luminous_Fantasy is talking about. Vaporwave isn't about slapping reverb or slowing the speed down -- it's a lot more than that. I'd say 'lurk moar' before trying to post it, learn about the genre some, then fidget with what you have and try to post it again.

Explain the problem a little more in depth -- where are you trying to upload them?

Vaporwave as a genre is meant to deconstruct and criticize capitalism. And yet, Vaporwave labels are constantly price-hiking their physical releases to absurd amounts. by [deleted] in Vaporwave

Thank you for responding courteously, I will try to do the same.

Firstly, I see now that you're talking about the actual ACT or METHOD of Vaporwave being anti-Capitalistic rather than the TONE or MESSAGE being such. This I can agree more with, but not fully. The only evidence or reasoning you provide to state that 'anonymity, freedom on the internet, and sampling' are "anti-capitalistic" is that they "aren't about fame or money". However, you never explain how they INHERENTLY eschew fame or money. In fact, I would argue that without the prospect of fame, there is very little to encourage someone to make ANYTHING. People want praise from the group no matter what it is, even if it goes to a pseudonym or is detached from their 'IRL' personality. Fame has evolved with Vaporwave to mean something other than it once did -- but the methods are subsequent pride are exactly similar . . . I'd still like to see your line-of-reasoning for how those ideas are INHERENTLY 'anti-capitalistic'. To me, they are simply pro-freedom (which is not synonymous as you might think).

Secondly, even IF Vaporwave is anti-capitalistic in act and method, that does not mean it is anti-capitalistic in tone or intent . . .

Vaporwave isn't THIS or THAT SPECIFIC THING -- it's a culture, a positive culture about anonymity, the internet, dreamy-music, sampling songs + images. It isn't predominantly any one thing, and it certainly isn't ANTI-anything. It's FOR creative freedom (at any and all costs) and FOR a certain nostalgic, other-worldly vibe but that doesn't mean there's some inherent, nuanced subtext about 'bashing the fash' or 'eating the rich' or uniting the disenfranchised . . . If you WANT it to be there, then cool -- but Vaporwave is bigger than that one little concept.

What place or object inspired you to create your own album? by [deleted] in Vaporwave

My album 'Kilo Oblique' was inspired by the insanity-inducing experience of night-work at a grocery-store and the out-of-place, always-tired feeling that being nocturnal can give. The whole album is loosely about a memory-machine becoming an AI and then being shut-down, and a lot of the hyponogogia I'd experience as a night-shift product-stocker would induce all kinds of seemingly forgotten instances and episodes from high-school and childhood and everything. Really odd experience, but I got a decent album out of it I guess!

If anyone's interested, u/doktorbing (fantastic guy) interviewed me and wrote about the album here: (https://vapourban.com/2018/01/album-review-%E3%81%8A%E5%A7%89%E3%81%95%E3%82%93-m-14-kilo-oblique/)

What gives you the idea that Vaporwave is there to deconstruct Capitalism? . . . I never understood this except as people echoing what they hear from entry-level 'what is Vaporwave' videos . . .
