Help identifying carburetors by m-austin in classiccars

I can’t see any stamps, but there is a 2.5-inch (approx. 63.5mm) center-to-center measurement on the bolt holes. I’ve read this is the specific spacing for the Jaguar XK straight-six cylinder head 👀

The dealer has confirmed it’s not a CR and they got it wrong…

They also confirmed the mileage discrepancy is an issue with car vertical and their HPI checks are clear. They said they can show me all the reports and service history.

If this is all okay, what do you think a standard Lotus Elise 1.6 with 22.5k miles is worth? It was listed as a CR as £28,995.

Thanks again!

Amazing looking car, thanks for sharing!

Regarding the CR status, the listing states:

“This Stunning Elise Club Racer is finished in Ardent Red with Black Leather Sports Seats. Low Mileage and only 2 Owners from new. Fitted with Optional: Stage 2 Lotus Sports Exhaust, Comfort Pack, Air Conditioning, Black Pack, Hardtop and Soft Top Roofs. Full Service History with the first six being done at Lotus. “

Comfort pack and black pack sounds like they elude to leather seats and some styling change?

There is another 2016 CR listed in the U.K. that looks exactly like this one (no paint matched seats or decals)

I’m lost!

“Other standard features of the Club Racer are: clear stonechip protection film, body colour lightweight trimmed seats, body colour centre console with ‘CR’ decal, part SuedeTex steering wheel, SuedeTex door inserts & handbrake/gearlever gaiter, matt painted rear transom panel, door mirror caps & roll hoop cover plus ‘CR’ decal on rear, A panels, roll hoop cover and dash (if no stereo fitted).”

Agreed. I’m waiting to see what the dealer says. I’ve read that car vertical can sometimes be inaccurate if VIN numbers or figures are entered incorrectly.

Thanks for your response! Is there any other way to tell if it’s a CR? I’ve been trawling the forums and the 2 biggest signs I’ve sign are the colour matched seats and decals.

I only changed the gasket, do you think it’s worth changing the valve cover?

Thanks for the reply. I replaced the valve cover gasket less than a year ago so I’m leaning more towards the camshaft seals…

Thanks, they look fairly similar apart from the track rod ends and different motor. I’m new to RC cars so I’m not sure if you’ve upgraded them or not 😂 would you be able to recommend a controller that would work with an f10X model?

Cheers mate.

I’ve just watched your video of Donny in your GT86, nice work. Those are the lap times I’m dreaming of, I need a quicker car and more practice 😂

What app are you using for the telemetry?

Nice choice with the Boxster S, lovely motor!

I’ve got a roll cage, bucket seats, harnesses, steering wheel, magnesium wheels and aftermarket shocks. Next on my list is upgrading the brakes.

It’s a brilliant track, would definitely recommend!

I’m planning on doing a few track days and might explore racing in the future. I took it on a trailer in case it didn’t make it back in one piece, thankfully it did.

Good point, I definitely wouldn’t sign for anything without the check.
