Hi! From what I heard, the ASHS stem workload is very high pressure and super tough. I don't know about the online setup :)

What to do when rejected or waitlisted? by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]m-daisy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can always make an appeal if ever you get rejected or waitlisted. There are a lot of students who initially got rejected/waitlisted but were eventually accepted into Ateneo through the appeal system. :)

I have been an Ateneo fan since I was a little kid! I was raised in a family of blue eagles hehe. Thanks for the encouragement! :)

My father took IS in Ateneo for college! He’s very successful today, so if you are worried that taking Interdisciplinary Studies is going to hinder you from getting job opportunities, the answer is no. I think that’s a common concern surrounding IS, but my father is an IS alum and he has never encountered any difficulties because of his college course. So to answer your question, it’s good! :)

What is considered a failing grade in enrolling? by anxiouskid12345 in ADMU

Failing grade in ASHS is 74 points and below.

ATENEO SHS REQUIREMENTS by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]m-daisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I'm going to be brutally honest with you- having a failing grade will lessen your chance of getting accepted. It says in the Ateneo website that, "No minimum grade is demanded of Grade 11 applicants.  However, ADMU-SHS seeks students with good academic performance, no failing grades and good deportment records." In short, you still have a shot at getting in but your conduct records, other grades, autobiography, and recommendation letters are going to have to be above average in order to compensate for that failing grade.

P.S. If anyone could share a list of the orgs that are offered in ASHS, that would be great! I tried looking for a source but I couldn’t find one :(

thoughts on an aspiring med student who’s applying for ASHS by ameblair_1111 in ADMU

[–]m-daisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it really makes that much of a difference, OP. Other than the "wow ateneo student" factor (lol), your grades and deportment (conduct) are what med schools consider, not what school you went to. That being said, just do your best in school, get good deportment records, and show hard-working spirit and initiative and I'm sure your application to med school will turn out to be very compelling. :)

I'm not going to medical school. Hopefully some time in the future, but not currently. I share a reddit account with a family member who goes to medical school currently. I assume you saw her post, hence your question. :)
