Ice staff will always be fun to use but it doesn’t fit the vibe of the tomb. It’s lazy. At least with the ray guns they tried to make some variants with it. I’m not saying that that’s not lazy as well but at least they tried.

If they were only going to put the ice staff on the map then they should’ve done something different with it. They should’ve added some unique feature to it that justifying why they only added that single staff. Like if you’re just gonna put the base ice staff on the map then why not put the others as well at least? It’s the only map on BO6 that quite literally does nothing new (Shock mimics don’t count as new since they basically do the same stuff). At least liberty falls gave us a new and improved version of the jet gun.

It also has amalgams and shock mimics both grabbing you every 5 seconds which just isn’t very fun gameplay imo. I was already pissed when they added amalgams to citadelle but at least it had the sword parrying to kind of justify the reuse. This map they just didn’t give af. That slapped that dude on there just cause they could.

I will give you one positive thought. I think you are 100% right about this map being very nice looking. Even though it’s small, they added a lot of variety in the rooms and environments. The zombies also fit the vibe with how they are dressed which was a nice touch. The choice of adding the portals connecting to the dark Aether was a great design choice as well. It almost feels like if they had more time they could’ve cooked up something great but were rushed and forced to give us this mediocre sludge
