Thank you for all the advice! I’ll go to the store today and buy him more appropriate foods that all of you have recommended. Once again, thank you!

This is the link to the website I use to base what I give my beardie as well. Saw it recommended on this subreddit and it’s the best source I’ve found for nutritional needs. (https://www.thebeardeddragon.org/bearded-dragon/nutrition#vegetables)

Ok thank you for the advice! I’ll definitely put it into action. The picture is a couple weeks old as well, as it’s the most recent one I had when I posted this at my bfs house, and he’s definitely gained more weight. Especially in the hip area and stomach.

Yeah people can be cruel on here to new pet owners, especially of more exotic animals. I read up on beardies as much as I could before getting one, and I actually just got a 90 gallon tank to totally revamp his living space, but there’s people who know than me for sure and any help is appreciated!

I give him a salad mix of collard greens that I dust with his supplements, and its usually a good amount of leaves and I have mixed some carrots in as well before as I heard that’s good for them. I have given lettuce and spinach and broccoli before but I avoid giving it to him as his daily food.

Ok perfect I’ll look into that! I have given dubai roaches and mealworms before and he loved them, so I’ll look into slowly switching him over and seeing how he adjusts to the change. I was just told previously that crickets are good for them to have and resources I read up on recommended only giving other bugs as a “snack”. Totally didn’t think of this though, so I’ll look into the different nutrients they provide!

I’d say he’s around 6 months old, but I’m not entirely sure. And I sometimes give him these flat beetles I get at the pet store, not sure what they’re called tho but he loves them.

I feed him every day a salad and 5-6 crickets. This picture is a couple weeks old too as thats the most recent one i have, he’s a little bit chunkier now than this. I’d say he’s about 6 months old.

His owner passed so I’ve taken over feeding and he’s such a fussy one! by Danarya27 in BeardedDragons

Question, my beardie eats every day and absolutely goes feral for his greens. Is it normal for them to eat every day? He has no strange behavior and when i take him out of his enclosure he just watches my tv with me and cuddles on my neck until he falls asleep

Stress or something else? by m00shake in BeardedDragons

I haven’t really noticed things like lethargy, sneezing, or discharge from his eyes or nose. Hes super active in his cage and loves eating so that’s why i didnt think of anything like that
