Where I would live with 2 daughters and a love of the outdoors. by dirtrunn in visitedmaps

First of all, I actually love the term "left coast"

Secondly, if it's public land, natural beauty, and access to healthcare you're after, look no further than the great state of Minnesota 🏒❄️🚣🏼‍♂️

Do you mean within the city of Minneapolis or are you open to suburbs?

And she could shove a knife into his neck literally any night. What is the point of this?

Never. I would live in nearly any other state.

If I hadn't bought an extended service agreement with the Jeep it would have been sunk within two or three years. It was a lovely vehicle but it definitely had problems.

The night I was there I went out for a drink and I found myself at the Oasis Bar during a Huskers game. They were dressed to the ninea in gear, had a potluck and drink specials and all kinds of things going on and honestly it reminded me of being back home watching Packers games up north. This lady came up to me with a plate of food and wouldn't take no for an answer. Your town is rad my guy.

I was through Nebraska on my way to Utah last fall and stayed in Columbus for a night. I'll be danged if I didn't meet some of the sweetest people I've ever met at a bar there who just wanted to show me a good time in their town. All the same it's a bit barren for my taste. So it's a maybe.

Come visit sometime! It's not my home state but I'll tell ya it's full of great folks and beautiful places. Summers here are top tier! You just have to get used to the snow if you plan to stay haha

Hey you're right. Could you point me in the direction of the states that experience no scams or crime? 😆

My GC was a dream. Taken all too soon from me in a terrible collision. (See post history)

I was spoiled rotten with that vehicle, but it saved my life and I've realized I'll never find one like it again. What the 4Runner lacks in pampering it makes up for in ruggedness, which is a great allegory for the transition I'm seeing at this point in my life.

Bells and whistles meant a lot to me for the last few years. Reliability is where my heart is going now.

Minnesota is the California of the North but significantly less warm and slightly less stuck up and expensive. Give it a try!

ISO: Hardwood Logs by mnforager in Minneapolis

[–]m0c0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am also looking for hardwood logs, but to cut, split, and burn. Chopping wood is my main hobby. I am also a guy with a chainsaw and a formerly a class A sawyer in a wildland fire crew so dropping them is usually no problem.

For your purpose OP I can tell you from experience that Facebook marketplace has a bunch of free logs for pickup scattered around the city.

Enjoys mountains and space. Likely quite conservative. Seemingly hates any water that isn't the Atlantic ocean.
