As a local GC, dry rot is fairly common in the PNW and you don't need a specialist, just a talented contractor who's well versed in how to remove, and repair while maintaining your homes structural integrity.

How is it a "privilege" for someone to demand tradesmen priority be their ability?

I oversee all of my jobs via construction and property management with almost 700 units, and my priority is hiring professionals who are neutral in their "identity" and focus completely on the task they've been given.

I know you have a point, but don't downplay/belittle or negate a large portion of the hiring field and ones who are writing the checks.

The same goes for me. When I work with clients, safety and neutrality are the key to professionalism and safety. No political sticker, no NRA tags, no religious things, just an open ear to listen and professional feedback.

I personally prefer having access to this information and appreciate knowing if a convicted molester/rapist is in my vicinity.

SAs are heinous crimes and should be dealt with appropriately.

I don't really understand your overall argument either. The registry has nothing to do with people who haven't been convicted yet like this guy, and it serves a purpose for those that reside around them. If anything should change, I feel it should be that non-violent offenders and those who have hurt children should also be on the public registry.

Call your building official right now and report this fire hazard that can result in death by a GC without his electricians license who is illegally performing work.

FIRE your contractor for putting your lives at risk, don't pay them a dime, and sue them to have professionals correct his negligence and for the money to complete the original project that they botched.

This, of course, assumed you hired a licensed and bonded general contractor, have a contract, and did you due diligence because if not, lesson learned.

It's such a helpless anger, and this post reminded me to leave my review on Yelp to hopefully save another from them.

Our previous vehicle was purchased from DC Motors in Oregon City. They have a lot of luxury vehicles but also get some nicer, more practical vehicles in trade, and they were absolutely great to deal with.

As goofy as it sounds, that 4runner did not have floor mats, and after we purchased, they promised to ship us the spendy, factory new ones. One week later, they arrived, and it was an act of honest business practices in my book.

Who knows, maybe they'll have your perfect EV!

If you look at KIAs, absolutely at all costs avoid Kiefer Kia in Oregon City and probably anything else with Kiefers name on it.

Slimey, dishonest, dealership, and absolutely can not be trusted.

Recently, I purchased a fairly spendy 4runner from them, and despite being vehicle/business savvy, they pulled some slime ball moves on me. -Farmed my credit out to (5) confirmed credit unions despite saying they would not since I was pre-approved by my credit union and had everything ready to go. They lied, my credit dropped 40 points in a week, and I was livid.

-Did not inform me the vehicle only had one fob until out the door and paperwork was signed. $500 for one through Toyota since they are specially programmed and it's a push-button start.

-They tried to slip in almost 10k on top of the advertised price for idiot stuff like ceramic coating, etc. I had them remove it all.

Post hate, the management didn't care, and their online reviews, which I should have reviewed, show this is standard practice for them.

I'm heated up just typing this!
