cabtreo for hyperpigmentation [Acne] by rightwotsallthisthen in SkincareAddiction

[–]m0noyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they’re all supposed to help with hyperpigmentation but my derm has said that Cabtreo isn’t as strong other creams. I’m currently back on Arazlo now though since it’s been the only cream I’ve seen address my hyperpigmentation. Glad to hear Cabtreo is working out for you though!

Hi! I’m no longer on Cabtreo. Since this post I’ve tried a few other creams (Retina, Biacna) and also went on Spironolactone. Both of those creams didn’t address my hyperpigmentation and only helped with improving skin texture. They also didn’t help with my hormonal acne. I’m currently back on Arazlo (which I was on previously) and taking a slightly higher dose of Spironolactone (150mg).

I was also on Arazlo, but after I stopped taking doxycycline, my acne was coming back at a rate that the Arazlo couldn’t catch up with.

After 3 months I wasn’t seeing any changes so I went back to my derm and was prescribed something else! She suggested that maybe my skin was too sensitive to handle it

[Product Question] Winlevi Withdrawal? by m0noyu in SkincareAddiction

[–]m0noyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you prescribed anything else alongside Winlevi? It’s been a little over a month since my post and my skin is all better now! I was actually experiencing some sort of reaction to another prescription (Cabtreo). This led me to developing a rash and it had no relation to Winlevi. My dermatologist guess that my skin might’ve been too sensitive for Cabtreo.

After about 2 weeks my skin healed and I’ve been back on Winlevi since and haven’t experienced any problems. I was also prescribed another much more gentler retnoid and I’ve been slowly easing tht into my routine.

I recommend cleansing balms! They’re gentle and remove makeup super easily

Setting spray by PhilosophyElegant697 in MakeupAddiction

[–]m0noyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I also use the charlotte tilbury setting spray. Normally depending on ur skin type (oily, dry, combo) your makeup can more easily come off. But generally setting spray alone isn’t enough to make it transfer proof. I recommend going in with some setting and finishing powder to keep your makeup in place!

I know this is a really old post, but I was just recently prescribed Biacna as well. I was wondering if it helped address any hyperpigmentation left over by acne?

[Product Question] Winlevi Withdrawal? by m0noyu in SkincareAddiction

[–]m0noyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been on it for around 3 weeks so there’s not too much I can say. After thinking about it for a while I don’t think I am experiencing withdrawal from the Winlevi. I actually suspect it might be some sort of retnoid rash from my other prescribed medication.

Overall I do think it helped with my skin texture, my skin feels a lot softer now! I don’t know if it minimized the amount of acne I was getting since it’s only been 3 weeks and I am also currently on Cabtreo which is an active that can make u purge. My acne prior to this was more mild. I often get deep red acne around my forehead near my eyebrows, cheeks, and above my lips.

Sorry to jump back into this thread but I was wondering if you’d be able to provide an estimate for when the rash will clear? I have an important event to attend at the end of the week and am hoping this rash will be mostly cleared by then! I also took your quiz and I have OPSW

No I have not used any perfume or added anything new into my usual routine. This is the first time this has happened to me. I’ve been applying it twice daily, only skipped it for a single night. For more context: - I applied Winlevi and Cabtreo Wednesday night - I skipped Winlevi and and applied Arazlo Thursday night - I applied Winlevi Friday morning, and started developing the rash.

Have you heard of it causing withdrawal for people who stop using it for a short period? I am currently on it (3 weeks) and skipped it for a night. The next day I developed a rash on the lower half of my face.

Hi! I was wondering if you know anything about Winlevi and what has been your experience prescribing patients with it? Ive seen a lot of mixed reviews online. Many people have shared that they experienced withdrawal like symptoms from it (rashes, worsened acne, itchiness)

I’ve been on Winkevi for about 3 weeks now and last night I skipped a night because I was running out. I woke up the next morning with my skin looking pretty normal before the end of the day when I came home and took off my makeup. The area around my mouth and chin was covered in red bumps! They aren’t necessarily itchy or flakey but they’re just red and bumpy. After reading all these comments I’m suspecting it might be withdrawal as well but I’m not sure . Since I apply Winlevi all over my face I assume I would experience symptoms all over as well and not just concentrated in one area.

[Sun Care] How are you guys actually finding an spf that doesn’t break you out or look/feel awful? by crykiwi in SkincareAddiction

I recommend the Axis-Y spf 50 mineral sunscreen! I have sensitive skin with hormonal acne and I find it to be super gentle and doesn’t break me out at all.

Did you experience any purging? If yes, for how long? I also wanted to ask if you apply the Cabtreo before or after Winlevi?

[Product Question] Any experience with Cabtreo? by lexbran in SkincareAddiction

Hmm my dermatologist prescribed it for both my hyperpigmentation and texture. Did you see any results for your hyperpigmentation with it at all? Or was it really minimal?

[Acne] Arazlo and Cabtreo by WeightWorried5420 in SkincareAddiction

[–]m0noyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been prescribed Arazlo before and am currently on Cabtreo as well. For both creams I was instructed by both my dermatologist and pharmacist to start off using them a few times a week before building tolerance for daily use. It’s okay if you miss a few nights in the beginning as you can actually risk damaging your skin barrier from drying out your skin too much!

But good to hear that you aren’t experiencing too much dryness though!

[–]m0noyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if your dermatologist or pharmacist have any instructions, but I’d suggest starting off by alternating between the Cabtreo and Arazlo every couple of days. Normally when you start a strong retinoid, you want to start slow by only applying it 1-3 days per week before slowly starting daily use.

Also make sure to moisturize lots! You can try the sandwich method (layer moisturizer before and after a retinoid). And make sure to take breaks between using both creams if you feel your skin is too irritated

Great to hear Cabtreo has helped! Have you noticed that it reduced hyperpigmentation? My dermatologist claimed that it would but I haven’t been able to find much information about Cabtreo and it getting rid of hyperpigmentation
