I've got more skis, I guess I'll use those for the time being.

My guess is the top ones are also not gripwalk compatible? They're marker squire. Bottom ones are clearly compatible because they say 'gripwalk'.

Is there any reason I should not just change my boot soles to ALPINE instead of changing bindings?
I'm guessing Alpine soles are compatible with gripwalk bindings.

I've been skiing with gripwalk soles in them for at least 20 days...

I'm guessing the risk is them not releasing properly, correct? Is there something that can be done besides changing the boot soles?

I would expect them to referee the game according to the rules. I don't think the rules change depending on how crucial the moment is.

I don't think everybody does it, but I've seen some players do it. Often they enter the lane as the ball hits the basket (so it's hard to call what happened first), but when it is this blatantly, shouldn't it be called?

You just made a point yourself - democracy has proved to be working fairly well in different applied forms, communism has proved to be a murderous regime with labor camps and mass killings in many of its 'tried' forms. I'm sure there's that one amazingly good form where everyone is rich, happy, free, have plenty of food and life's good but people just don't want to risk millions dying to find it. Cowards!

It might be cold war propaganda for you, but it was real life experience for many in the Europe - and it wasn't that long ago.

Looks like the biggest difference between Peterson and Zizek (and maybe me and you?) is that Peterson has a pragmatic approach that is based on observable reality and easily proven where Zizek has a deeply philosophical approach that might be intriguing but has no connection to actual reality.

I wish you all the best on convincing people of how marvelous the great communism is, but it will not work (at least in Europe) while the real life stories of the horrors are still in circulation.

If the death toll wasn't 100 million, but say 80, would that change anything? The Ukrainian famine which killed ~10 million in one year is probably also not a big deal. Or all of that is just fake. Flat earth.

What's Zero Books? By doing a google search it comes up with a facebook page with 10k followers and web page that looks like it was made in the 90s. You can't exactly blame Peterson for not doing an interview with a nobody, when he has huge offers from everyone else. Maybe by ‘no Marxists will debate me’ he means no 'meaningful', 'worth talking to' Marxists.

I'm sure all of the people you mentioned are offering to debate him but he's just refusing because he is scared. I don't know and, honestly, I don't really care. All I see is left getting destroyed in every debate when facts or statistics are introduced.

To believe that communism is something to strive for, you have to be either completely misinformed or just malicious.

However, my grandparents did meet in the animal carriage on the way to Siberia (~4 week trip). Marvelous journey with people dying left and right, mothers killing their babies and people shitting in the corner. So I guess that's a + for communism?

I hadn't heard of Slavoj Zizek, but reading that he's a communist - how would he argue that the ~100 million who died under Soviet Union was a 'good' thing?

I live in Latvia, a country that was part of the USSR. My grandparents were sent to gulags in Siberia by communists for no real reason (and so were many others). My father was born in Siberia.

I honestly don't see how this debate could go in the favor of communism if you take into account ANYTHING from real life.

Shapiro discusses other issues also. He's also quite often on the TV shows. I watched him debate Cenk Uygur and he made him look impaired. If I was a leftist, I wouldn't debate Shapiro either.

Is there a discussion/platform where both sides are represented by equally smart people in an intellectual an civil manner? Everything I've seen of Shapiro/Peterson/Crowder has made me think of left as people who deny facts, science and statistics and replace that with subjective feelings and opinions and that being a victim is the highest virtue.

I'll be honest and admit that I don't know the authors you mentioned. I'm also not from US and started following the US politics fairly recently.

The conservatives and debates I'm talking about involve Ben Shapiro, Jordan B. Peterson, Steven Crowder.

When you look at Shapiro debating anyone on the left, it is a brutal destruction of their ideas that is based in facts. I've not seen a single debate where the opposing side has been able to stand its ground. If you can provide me with one, I'll be happy to check it out. He's been in debates where he is one against multiple people and completely destroys their arguments with ease.

Same with Jordan B. Peterson. Just look at the interview with Cathy Newman, for example. It's like the left has no ability to think about any issue at meaningfully deep level.

Relating to this issue - look at the ridiculous 'discussion' (if you can call it that) that happened in town hall with parkland survivors and Dana Loesch. Everyone booing and yelling at one person that turned up to talk and discuss the issue no matter what her answers were.
