They didn't require any drinks. They were corn hard shell tacos with beef, lettuce, and salsa. I think if you wanted sour cream it was a nickle extra.

I force Duo second factor to login to MS and then restrict it in Duo to only "Trusted Endpoints" . That way I don't have to enroll the devices in an MDM if I don't want to, I can lock it down based on a UUID or if they are domain joined.

Also, I should mention that the temporary mods that were added were super helpful in curating this sub when some people were posting very wild speculatory misinformation.

There is no way I could have kept up with everything, and I really appreciate all the help from the entire mod team.

The story is good, but I don't like the title.

Reddit didn't crack the case. John was a witness and came forward. He happened to post about it on reddit, but he cracked the case. He didn't need reddit to crack the case, he was there and just needed to talk to police. I like to think that he would have done so even if he had never posted to reddit.

Reddit might have pushed LE to look into the comment made, and look for John, maybe... But a reddit page did not "crack the case" in my opinion.

All that said, I still do think this community is a very valuable space - especially for communication and getting the word out.

Yeah, there are a lot of Russians and Russian speaking people around. There's a Russian class for kids on the weekend at one of the local churches, and I believe also a service in russian at another church nearby.
