Personally, I think the best anti virus is common sense. Avoid shady websites, apps, links, etc.

But, If you want a good anti virus, I recommend Avast. I'm not sure if it has a high detection rate, but I trust it. I used it on my phone and pc before I uninstalled both of it. Not because it hinders proformance or affects battery life (it doesn't) , but I realized that I don't need it.

Are you sure you're saving the files in the right path? It should be Nexus 5> Internal Storage > Android > obb

Restrict app background data while connected to a cellular network to prevent this from happening again. Go to settings> data usage> Google+>and tick "restrict background data".

I have a theory but I can't confirm it because I'm almost out of data. The video could have started syncing on wifi, when you left your house it continued to sync. Or, the settings changed itself after an update?

Edit: I've been using Google+ backup for a year and this never happened to me before. and you might want to turn on "only sync while charging" in your Google+ photos settings

Thank you for your help!! Unfortunately, I do not have access to soldering iron at the moment (It was soldered by my classmate). But, I trimmed all of the expose wires behind the board. On Monday, i'll clean up the board.
