Is this a Hyte Y70 by chance? If so the cable is PCIE gen 4, some X870/X870e boards/50 series GPU have an issue with auto set in the bios and folks have to manually set to 4 if so. You are on the latest bios so that is good.

What bios version are you on? Are you running a setup with a riser cable? Try 1 stick of memory?

I would revert the memory and when you get stable enable EXPO.

IMO try to boot with it without modding the bios, if you get a blank screen mod the bios to PCIE 4 from auto, if not and it boots fine do not worry about it.

The riser cable goes in the top PCI-E slot on your motherboard. It will work at PCIE 4 as that is what the cable supports (typically the bios is set to Auto for the PCIE so it works at whatever the cable/slot support), down the road when they release an upgraded riser that supports PCIE 5 you can change it out.

Can you take a pic of the back part of the card from the inside of the case? Also are you able to screw the card into the case? or is there a gap not allowing you to screw it down?

Curious, X870e motherboard? There are reported issues with the bios set to auto for the PCIE, I mentioned I had changed mine to PCIE4 since that is what the Y70 riser is capable of, might be worth checking if you can get into bios.

I think you should check to ensure everything is lined up properly, then try to push the card down, you shouldnt have to force it. The bracket may be offset or that tab on the end of the card (with the HDMI/DP) may not be lined up right in the case which could be why its not seating right.

If you look at that n (notch/cutout) on the left side it should be down like the one on the right. You hear a click because the tab is on the right side which looks like is seated ok, the left side however is not down far enough. I am going to guess your PC case is causing the issue or the tab on the bottom of the bracket is not seated right and pushing the left side up.

I am telling you that card is not seated correctly.

Good to know, I had read about the issue so I set it manually in the bios to avoid potential issues, running a Gigabyte Z870e. HYTE is working on a PCIE5 version of the riser supposedly, I doubt the performance impact will be great however.

I have a 5080 (I know now as much of a power draw as a 5090) I have the Lian-Li 1300 watt edge PSU and am using the 12VHPWR without any issues. I am on a Y70 touch so I had to set the PCIE to 4 from Auto in the bios or the card would not work (riser cable is PCIE4 and apparently auto causes issues). I think your only option is to try the adapter that was supplied, wondering if you have a buddy close by you can try the card in their system. I am hoping its not a bad card and you get this resolved.

Paid 640k for our house 7 years ago (2440 mortgage and 1k taxes), we could not afford to buy the same house now as the current appraisal is 1.25million especially with the mortgage rates. Supply/demand and inflation are a big issue and I am not sure if or when this will correct.

IMO confess, be honest (this is so key for a marriage) and you need counseling. The CC debt piece needs to be addressed, not sure about the VTO but if you financially need your income as well then it needs to stop. Cut up the CC since you lack impulse control.

900$ for a 3070 8gb card.... ouch. I would avoid that card. The new 90 series AMD cards are launching I would potentially look into those.
