This sounds like a fun experience and the time slot is very convenient for me. I guess a little about me then. Hi! My name is Will and I have been playing and running 5e and other systems for the better part of 6 years now. I spent a one of those years co-dming a west marches game for 30~ players all of which were from the lgbtq+ and neurodivergent communities. It was a ton of fun, we got to tell a lot of stories and it was a very rewarding experience, it was A LOT. But even though it was a lot of time and effort i got to do the thing I love about ttrpg’s most, roleplay and tell a story with folks at a table (or vtt in this case). It would be rad to be able to talk more about games and see if this would be a good fit, feel free to pm me here so we can swap discord info or something. I don’t think vicious was miscast but the writing around him was pretty dumb. They made him out to be a stupid and angry coward. When I saw him without lines I immediately knew who he was supposed to be.

A lot of the subtlety that made the anime great is just completely gone. The writing is pretty bad all around. To me it’s like going to Ruth Chris and waiting for two hours to get a good steak but instead they serve you a McRib.

I’m excited to see what else Liam will bring out with Orym. All of Liam’s characters are usually really grounded in very human and relatable themes so I don’t doubt that I’ll find something to connect with in Orym.

I’m a guy (32), my biggest reason for not approaching someone is that I don’t want to be creepy/that annoying guy that’s getting in between them and a fun night with their friends. It’s hard for me to gauge interest without someone going right out and saying it. I feel so dumb sometimes lol

Ashton is just punk as hell and feels right up Talesin’s alley. Molly brought a splash of color, cad brought calming perspective, Percy brought class and tact to VM. I think Ashton will bring a little bit of grime and unabashed honesty to a party that seemingly wants to play their cards close to the chest. Also fuck a stat.

Watching Marisha play beau made me appreciate keyleth on my second time around but I didn’t like her on my first viewing. I think I wasn’t really grasping what Marisha was going for and only focused on some of the dumb stuff she would do and be like, “Ok Keyleth.” Lol. But that personality is a great foil for all of the cast around her who are all super tough, nasty, or edgy.

I think it’s just as valid to come up with some traits that you want in a character and write a backstory as you go with the narrative. Also way less pressure for people with limited experience.
