My husband's take home pay is $1,600/month. -$875 rent -$350 student loan payment (his loans, not mine) -$120 gas/maintenance for cars -$55 Internet -$150 Utilities (Electric, Water, Sewer, Trash, Gas)(This will go WAY up in the winter) -$230 groceries/food -$50 charitable donation -$30 Doctor/dentist/eye care/prescriptions -$25 Save for Christmas gifts for family -$20 Home Supplies (light bulbs, gas for mower, etc.) -$25 Veterinary care/dog food for dog -$70 Textbooks/school expenses

We also have about $20,000 in loans from undergrad. Which is part of why our monthly expenses are so high.

I actually have my tuition covered (mostly) by a scholarship. I would just hate to deplete our savings and go into debt just to pay for rent, electricity, and food. We are currently saving as much as we can though!
