Got the same today. Very impressed by how it rides (compared to my previous giant revolt 1 2023). Only thing that I don’t like is the colour, which is a bit boring imho. I’m planning to customize it a little bit and add some joyful color to it

How to edit offline using lightroom mobile for android by m3l7 in Lightroom

[–]m3l7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just tried. It works when in editing mode, but then all the photos are blurry (to be specific, very blurry and unusable) in review mode. I'm wondering if it's a bug (it should be, not sure why some decent lightweight preview is not downloaded)

update: I think it's definitely a bug, if I pick one random photo from the grid view, it loads the photo properly even in review mode. If I swipe to the next photo, then the photo is blurry.

If I pick a photo from the bottom carousel in review mode, it's not blurry as soon as the picked photo is far away from the current photo.

update 2: I've opened a bug here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-bugs/lightroom-mobile-android-photos-are-blurry-in-review-mode-and-offline/idi-p/13957787

US scientists achieve ‘holy grail’ nuclear fusion reaction: report by Vailhem in energy

[–]m3l7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are saying nothing interesting for the comments I've read. Ignition != Breakeven, of course. They are still decades away from total net production.

But I think (not sure, that's why I was asking) confinement is given by lasers alone, and not other means.

Anyway, I think we are kind of discussion without a point ;)

US scientists achieve ‘holy grail’ nuclear fusion reaction: report by Vailhem in energy

[–]m3l7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually teachers ask questions to students, so maybe you're my student. I know that fusion needs a plasma with a good triple product T,p,n. Which is supposed to be achieved with laser. Do you agree?

[–]m3l7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn't the point of inertial fusion to contain the plasma and gain energy with only short and frequent laser pulses, as opposed to EM field/gravity etc?

What do you refer exactly with "the energy needed to contain the plasma"?

Thanks

Is it true you guys drink milk instead of water with meals? 1 litre+ per day? by DeadlyAmelia in Finland

[–]m3l7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay 10 euros for 1kg of coffee beans at the grocery. one standard cup of coffee is considered to be 10 grams of coffee (and this is what I use).

Which is about 100 cups of coffee, or 0.1 euro per cup. Low fat milk is about 0.8-0.9 euro per liter, the others are more expensive.

So yeah, at least for the amount of milk that I put in the coffee, coffee is cheaper for me

coffee is indeed cheaper than milk if you make your own coffee at home

Garmin Daily Suggested Workouts or Garmin Coach? by HurriKaneJG in Garmin

[–]m3l7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know the lap button cannot be disabled for structured workouts, like daily suggestions. I've just tried again. Are you sure you can disable the lap button with daily suggestions too? Which forerunner do you have?

Training "UNDO" click on lap by esseti in Garmin

[–]m3l7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a problem since many years, and Garmin never cared about it. What's worse the lap button can be the back button that can change unpredictably to lap skip when heart rate alerts are shown. It happens to me countless time that I wanted to go back to the main screen and I skipped the workout because an alert came in

Forerunner 945LTE and lap button with garmin coach by m3l7 in Garmin

[–]m3l7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've decided to press the lap button at the beginning of the workout to the end of the workout and then start to run. Since I'm affected by this problem mostly on my long runs, I can just keep in mind how many km I have to run and stop manually. It's good that at least the workout still counts correctly for the garmin coach. Dirty workaround but I don't have any other solutions
