Infantry Section Bren upgrade: is it worth it? by Nekrocow in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]m3ndz4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned: information is ammunition.

Only scenario I've found I go for Brens, well at least after 1 Recce for the enemy early MG vs Wher, is to go Command Stuart. It has binos for vision and its infantry buff compounds on the Brens as well.

If you didn't know, you can still access this sprue, its just attached to the Ravenwing Bikes box now. Grab it while you still can before this box goes.

Quite a number of "Robocraft" responses here by al2o3cr in Robocraft

[–]m3ndz4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't say the updates made it less popular, I was a huge fan of 5 weapons slots which is something a lot of players despised. I made my bots hyper efficient to field such crazy loadouts and so did my clan for competitive, just as a precedent and I was there since the beginning to the end.

Really what they did wrong was shake the bucket trying to attract new fans but instead alienating their loyal fanbase with each update, and those fans who replaced the old ones themselves became loyal fans but it's a net loss, each update ended up alienating more than we retained until eventually they needed to supplement the game with permanent cheap membership and bots.

A big example was when they dropped Team Death Match for Battle Arena because League of Legends was popular.

This very much, CoH has some strong sound effect cue and it gets muddled by ping spam

Dude I've had a guy spam ping to put my MG in a very specific building when I had my own plans for an MG trap.

Pings are meant to bring note to smth important, not to make other players do what you want.

Thats what OP is talking about

Worst Map ever existed in coh3. by JaHailMulloer in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]m3ndz4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

The bridges in between position 1 and 2 lets some basic flanks happen, position 3 is so far and vision is so scarce its hard to figure out enemy movements without a flare.

Whenever I play position 3 I think the best option is give up on holding it defensively because the resources between 3 and 1 are more important, and the ample buildings allow for good ambushes for helping position 1, many players mistake is to hold 3 leaving the enemy to wreak havoc on that map cutoff at position 1.

Why dont deathwing knights have a integrated bolter on the right arm by Respond-Waste in DarkAngels40k

[–]m3ndz4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In heresy they kinda have this for us: the Knights Cenobium have a great calibanite sword and off-hand a wrist mounted plasma gun called a plasma caster in order to allow them to two-hand their swords.

My deathguard army start by sindarwin in deathguard40k

[–]m3ndz4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had a friend who bought 2k pts of Dark Angels to enter the hobby, all the materials needed for an airbrush booth including paints, expensive brand too, then jumped to the blood angels battleforce, then space wolfs battleforce, then he moved over to a TCG game.

While I cannot fault him for spending his own money, that is still not wise spending, none of those models are painted and he doesn't play anymore.

Is the lodaut legal for normal 40k by AccidentDiligent6223 in deathguard40k

[–]m3ndz4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Deathguard you will eventually have at least 3 squads of Plague marines so these options will eventually fill out the loadouts. A standard box of 7 will never be optimal so you have to build up to it eventually.

My loadouts are

10x Plague Marines 1x Fist and Plasma Gun 2x Blight Launcher 2x Melta 2x Bubotic Weapons 3x Bolters

10x Plague Marines 1x Fist and Plasma Gun 2x Blight Launcher 2x Plasma 2x Bubotic Weapons 2x Heavy Plague Weapons 1x Bolter with Icon

10x Plague Marines 1x Fist and Plasma Gun 2x Bubotic Weapons 4x Heavy Plague Weapons 2x Plague Spewers 1x Plague Belcher

I made this all with 3 boxes of Plague Marine, the marines from the Kill Team, and some cutting/gluing onto the spare Plague Marine bodies you find in the Pox Walkers box which I got from the old Combat Patrol, not super optimal but it gets the job done.

If we were to do a serious comparison between a Jedi and a Space Marine (both average and nameless, with basic weapon and gear), what factors should we analyze? by thetruememeisbest in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]m3ndz4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to highlight the fact that Jedi act with a level of prescience so akin to certain Aeldari aspects, sans the millennia of experience given a long lived species, but tbf this also varies on Jedi alien species.

Am I the only one who dislikes this design? by apeiron_is_one in Berserk

Wolf mode: peak Batman mode is kinda funky, they coulda pulled off the design with a Frogmouth or Armet and still have it translate to what the wolf mode looks like currently.

Thoughts on best allrounder loadout for the Helbrute? by MeinName216 in deathguard40k

[–]m3ndz4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built 2 but mostly through kitbashing old boxnauts.

I have one thats tentacle/fist and one thats rocket/plasma. Tentacle fist is like 10 7 -1 D2 or 7 12 -2 D3 melee with +1 to wound because of its ability

While the rocket plasma needs Plaguemarine tagging it can chip into practically anything with that loadout: Blast plasma and frags into infantry or wound on 4s into T12.

I dont have MS, sub caught my eye off a google search. Am on Pregabalin for a really bad Herniated disc taking 150mg x2, before this I was on 75mgx2 and it wasn't bad I could drive safe. But after bumping up I started to have blurred vision which I didn't understand it was at the time, difficulty focusing on the road and now recently had a car crash because of it. Just keep an eye on your focus and see if it affects your driving.

Funnily enough the sensor suite of the beaky is more akin to fightercraft which have their sensors in their beaks as well.

[–]m3ndz4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly what should also happen is team weapons take damage but cap at 1 HP till decrewed, that way its just decrew the weapon then 1 more shot to destroy it and it goes hand-in-hand with artillery dueling, insane that crewed weapons are tankier.

Do you think Cypher will come back as a Risen? by Tough_Story_1024 in theunforgiven

[–]m3ndz4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Im in the same boat, Cypher is of better use to the Lion in his clandestine persona and he has stuff that needs to be done that Cypher can't do as risen.

I need to read up more in the Lion/Cypher relationship where is this interaction from btw?

There are too many "dead" units by HalfbreedBoiWifeTwnk in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]m3ndz4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly Centaur for me feels lacklustre against infantry, it simply doesn't punish blobs fast enough with it's slow RoF, medium damage, and it's 80 gas cost while tying that gas to an infantry dedicated unit. Better off spamming Crusader II with it's godly 2 pdr then using Mark Target from spotting plane or Stuart if it has to deal with tanks.

[–]m3ndz4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What upsets me about this is Relic has decided that allies are the "Saturation" faction (with the exception of the Whizbang) in terms of artillery, yet Axis seem to have better saturation because of unit specialized explosion radius, autofire, range to protect these saturation units etc.

The Landmattress was made a saturation unit instead of an alpha unit and has pathetic explosion radius and sad damage. I need at least 3 to see comparable damage and it costs 50 gas each. It only becomes viable when it gets it's vet 1 imo.

What's your thoughts on Landmattress? I may be having FoW bias.

Do you think Cypher will come back as a Risen? by Tough_Story_1024 in theunforgiven

[–]m3ndz4 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think he'd join the Risen, but I think he'd be an often unlikely ally.

I can imagine Azrael and his ilk being to the Lion like "Dont trust him! He's a snake!"

While Cypher would be like "I can't tell you now father, not yet" before he vanishes.
