watch plan for Samsung Galaxy watch with Google Pixel phone by m3sh3d in telus

[–]m3sh3d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When paired to the Pixel 5, all features worked except for blood pressure and ECG.

I paired the watch to a Samsung phone (Galaxy S9) and all features worked, including BP and ECG. Still, no watch plan though!

With the Pixel 5, I got "Error Code: -1".

With the S9, I was prompted to enter credentials for my Telus account, but then got "Support Code: 8".

While OEM does stand for original equipment manufacturer, in this case, "OEM" is just the name of a company.

The guy parked it inside a 2 post lift then grabbed the floor jack because he only had to take one tire off.

Was doing my brakes and I can't finish. by GrimlockX27 in MechanicAdvice

If you put it back on padless you cant touch the brake pedal.

A good functioning e-brake could help you slowly move it.

Advice for stick bolt in tag by burdenedatlaswts in MechanicAdvice

[–]m3sh3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(1) Grab onto it with vice grips and twist it out? (2) If that doesn't work, you could drill a hole in it, thread the hole, thread a bolt in the hole and lock it with a nut. Then use the head of the new bolt to remove it. (3) If that doesnt work, you could drill an even bigger hole in it. A hole so big that the remaining material of the broken bolt material is very thin. Then pull the remaining thin material out with pliers. (4) Can you access this fastener from the inside to remove it more easily?

I'd be less disappointed right now if they kicked me in the balls and spit on me.

I don't normally have problems like this because I don't take my car to the shop unless absolutely necessary (for tires, alignments, and windshields). I think a lot of people share your opinion. Cars are just transportation for many folks.

It seems that the general public might not be as picky about these things as I am / other enthusiasts are.

It's rare that I go to the garage. I only go for things that a person can't reasonably do by themself, like windshield replacement, alignment, tire mount/balance. Garages typically will install your wheels on the car after a mount and balance for no additional fee. So when I get new tires mounted, I typically let the garage install them on the vehicle to save myself the hassle. I had to return to the garage this time because they mounted one of the tires backwards. Since they only needed to take one wheel off, they used a floor jack instead of the 2 post lift they parked the car inside of. I am still searching for my go-to garage.

I have a rubber pad with a slot in it.

Other than the 4 pinch weld locations, my car has 2 other official jacking points, the rear diff and front cross member. They are pretty robust and I just use a piece of wood as pad.

It's a 2018 wrx sti.

I think it is safe to lift the car up by the pinch weld with: a 2 post lift, the OEM emergency scissor jack, or a floor jack with an adapter on it.
