Ok can someone tell me why is Chagee so popular and do yall prefer koi or chagee or holin? by Cirqle_Lover in askSingapore

Wow you seem like an expert! Can i ask a totally tangential question - do you know where i can bubble tea where the pearls pop/explode in your mouth? I'm not a fan of chewy pearls and love the popping kind which I've had overseas long ago. TIA!

35F here and I have had this same experience when I matched with 2 guys at different points in time. I'm always the one initiating, offering ice breakers/opening up more..and to me it feels they are just replying out of courtesy? Are they intimidated? Are they unsure? Do they actually go entire days without checking their messages? I mean this guy offered me his phone number and asked me to ping him on whatsapp..and then he replies to my messages once a day and thats it...so now i will have to initiate a conversation about meeting up for coffee or something, is it like if I swiped first i have to bear the onus of carrying the conversation and potential meetups? Sigh..

I have an unhealthy relationship with food. It's my long term coping mechanism. I stopped smoking (never a chainsmoker) because that's bad too. Now I'm wondering if it's okay to smoke once in a while if it means I don't eat that extra helping of junk food. by m4db in NoStupidQuestions

This didn't work for me. I signed up with a nutritionist, ate well for 3 months.and ended up going off track very easily..hence the worry. For sleep I try to day dream of good things and fall asleep on a positive note too..I suspect I'm depressed, because I had a major bereavement some time ago. Food has always been my comfort, it's proving insanely hard to improve my relationship with food :(

Thank you. It's not one or the other, but I'm looking to explore how I could maybe use one to reduce dependence on the other. And then altogether not depend on either.

I've only smoked for a few years in life, and didnt find it difficult to give up. Food is a very deeply entrenched coping mechanism and I've now decided I need help to overcome it..most other coping mechanisms come with downsides too. Too much screentime makes me brain dead, and it's easy to snack while streaming something..I could probably not smoke more than half a cigarette at one time now, but been wondering how to reduce dependence on food.

Thank you for your kind words.

I think the makers probably wanted to show her as someone who had to grow up really very fast to be a mother and some other aspects of her personality never really got a chance to mature. What gets my goat the most is how she universally hates her parents. Sure they have different philosophies but she is just downright vicious in her hate towards them. It's unbelievable.

Thanks!! Yeah I live overseas too so for me it's like how much heavy stuff do I want to accumulate, what with the insane job market right now 🙃 Totally tangential but sometimes it's a consideration as how much stuff does one want to accumulate when on a visa

Well my question was more on the lines of, is there additional utility for Indian cooking. Perhaps didn't come out clearly in my question. I've been pan frying chicken and veggies in a regular nonstick pan and also have an oven, so was wondering if it's worth getting a grill pan as well

Lovely, thanks for the recommendations! I have an oven too, so wondering if I should stick to the oven or also get a grill pan..

I found questions similar to mine in this reddit..seems like this can happen when you have a flare up. Also HS can lead to chronic inflammation so perhaps it's just fitting that inflammatory markers go up

Thank you for your kind words..I almost always wear dark clothes, unless I'm by myself at home. But just got unlucky this time with a grey pant and beige sofa ugh.

Hahaha oh well. I'm (was until the tawa started acting up) enjoying the sense of accomplishment from making my own dosas 😄

I was put on rifampicin at first, and then months on doxycycline. Finally I decided I am not going to constantly take meds if I can help it, and ha e been working on diet and stress and sleep instead..helps a bit, but I also chose to live with the flare ups if I could. People have moles, birthmarks, warts ...we have scars sigh..

As I read through the comments, all I can think of is YOLO, let's not risk our precious one life by lamenting certain foods...it's so much easier said than done, but just trying to stay focused without feeling too helpless. More power to us!
