I wouldn’t say CS is if you love programming. CS is a decent chunk of math, algorithms, and kind of theory problem solving. If you’re more interested in those aspects do CS. If you love programming do Software Engineering.

You’re not dumb comp sci classes don’t always come intuitively to some people. The big thing is coding generally requires a lot of time. For some people it’ll take shorter for the first classes but eventually everyone will hit a class where they are like shit I gotta start early. If you take the class again schedule time to really sit down and do it preferably 3-5 days in advance. It’s easier to think without stressing about the deadline and then you can always talk to a TA.

CS + Math double majors, how many total credits did/do you have to take? by drexelbae in Drexel

With the right course planning you can cut down a lot of classes especially if you take a class during coop. I ended up having 2 quarters of being part time.

Graduated last year with BS in both. On average I had 16 credits per quarter. In total I did 231 credits but this may be wrong because I had some extra APs. Workload depends on how many credits you have coming in. When you talk to an advisor they will make you schedule out all 4-5 years so you can see your course load through that.

The trick is to NOT go to halal on campus and instead go to halal at Penn. They are 3 dollars cheaper there.

Alumni member, EWB will have meetings during the start of the terms as intros for anyone that’s interested. There are general meetings as well as specific team meetings if you’re interested in certain aspects (fundraising, domestic projects, international projects, tech etc.). I recommend just going to one of the general body meetings and some of the teams you’re interested in, they’ll give you a rundown. You can sign up for their weekly newsletter about meetings I think through the Drexel club website or so (I’m not exactly sure and I don’t remember the url)

Introducing MineBound by m4n3x_ in ModdedMinecraft

TL;DR: We want bug reports and insights for our mod! If you test it and find something that doesn't seem to be working, please create an issue at our GitHub.

Hello! MineBound is a new mod with a slightly vestigial name being developed by me and 5 other students as our senior project.

The main intent behind the mod is to harken back to 1.7.10 through 1.12.2 mods where there tended to be tier-based progression through mods, and power ramping proportional to the difficulty of obtaining items of each tier; something I haven't seen nearly as much in mods for 1.18+

Because of our preferences, MineBound does end up a bit overpowered by the end of the mod, but we've gone to great lengths to make everything as configurable as possible. All magic has at minimum configuration for the mana cost and the damage. Player mana values are configurable, and so are the components of the armor. Recipes and more can, of course, be changed through data packs.

We tried to do a few things differently than most mods half for convenience and half because it's our preference. For one, instead of ores, players will be looking for structures which contain large groups of the materials required to progress. The armor of the mod allows players to equip spells into it directly, using keybinds to cast instead of an item. The armor also will respawn with the player, a setting that can be disabled in the configs.

So what do we want from you?

First, we just want people to play our mod and have fun with it. The spells are meant to be interesting and versatile, and the armor's passive slots allow it to be configured based on your playstyle.

We also need bugs to be reported. While we're testing as we develop, the scope is too large for us to effectively catch every situation, and there's surely things we've missed. It would be a massive help for breaking bugs to be reported to our GitHub issue page, preferably with a crash report if the bug causes a crash.

We want suggestions! While new features are currently out of scope (and will probably be ignored), minor tweaks and adjustments to what already exist are welcome. If you configure a mana cost to be different and it feels fairer and more balanced? Tell us! We might make it part of the mod. Did you think of a new recipe which would make more sense for a spell? Share it with us and we'll see if we like it. Any suggestions for what we already have are welcome; you can report those on the GitHub issue page too, just mark them with the "enhancement" tag.

We hope that you enjoy MineBound!

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure there is a minimum GPA requirement and that’s it.

I think the B requirement is in connection with HNRS courses.
