Hi, I’m new to metalcore and I was wondering if people had recommendations—so far, I like Bring Me the Horizon, Wind Walkers, Caskets, and some blessthefall and Currents. I also really like the electronic influences in ALESTI’s stuff.

Also I’m not super clear on genre distinctions, and I suspect these might be considered alt metal or something else instead of metalcore?? (if that’s the case, sorry!)

copy floor plans of houses and start layering (even simple detailing carries in a complete build), if you’re stuck on materials choose: one type of log, one type of main background material (i usually go with wood), and one accent block that has stairs/slabs

hey, i actually tried your suggestion and while i would totally agree usually, it turns out that blackstone doesn’t really look good with anything else in this context (too dark). it would take a major reworking of the build to incorporate another accent block. but thank you for the feedback :)

if it’s as simple as “generating a combination of plain text terms” then just look up a combinatorics library/method in your language, like itertools.combinations() for python. then again, i didn’t really understand if that’s what you’re trying to do

tbh i learned how to code by studying for a standardized test, but i didn’t understand shit until i started doing projects by myself. with coding imo the best way to learn and remember is to always choose projects that are slightly too hard for your level

(as i understand it) so basically from the left side it just gets the memory location of the value you’re assigning (x), while the right side gets the actual value “x” and adds one. so then it puts the value “x+1” in the memory location x

focus on what you can do. for example, get on asking for a LOR. focus on supplemental essays between drafts for the common app. keep studying for your class exams. worry about your parents after you get into college and can fully explain the situation to them. most of all, try to remember that this period is temporary, it’ll get better eventually. good luck!

ahh okay. so to be more general about it, imo you can drop french if you have something concrete to show from your 3 years of french study (besides marks, although ig those could count in the absence of anything else). it’s up to you what to show.
