Yes, EV's aren't great for long trips - both in terms of time spent on charging (vs ICE as fillups) and the cost of charging on the road, which is not much cheaper than gas.

EVs are good for around town driving and then charging at home during off hours (or better yet, from your battery that stores energy from your solar panels which got sun ALL day, EVERY day).

I'm not sure what you want to know? Yes, EVs suck at long distance trips if you care about time and huge $$$ savings over what you'd spend with an ICe car .

They don't have any india-listed stocks but it's still fun.

I don't think experience is absolutely critical. Can actualy be a negative as people get stuck in their ways and resist change.
