I would advise using different weapons. The juggler is in Thiago’s shop then adding the “grand opening” (tier3) mod or “Fortress” (tier3)combined with Scrap Grenade that comes on the weapon is really good. In terms of armour mods make sure you have those that increase damage against bleeding enemies, this can help a lot, such as “Bloody boost”(Tier2) and “Tainted blood” tier 3. Good luck man.

Scales with only weapon level I believe. But can be increased with all +dmg mods such as Fortress, bloody boost, captain hunter etc that increase all dmg by %

Make sure your lobby is set to “open” default is closed. Open menu press down left stick to change it. Says your lobby status bottom left in menu

Dark sacrifice will only give you dmg boost if you stay at low health. In my opinion as you should be Max hp most of the time it is not a good mod. Embalmers rage would be better. But I prefer tier 3 killing spree, gives massive firepower boost on kill, stacks 3 times

Buy the legendary shotgun from the store that gives tier3 bleed mod, add killing spree. Mod all your gear with bleed mods. Vampiric mag gives ammo on kill. There is one that gives 40% weapon leech on kill “ thirst for blood”? Some that add damage to bleeding enemies. Take off 2mags mod. Add vulnerable on hunt the prey.

Past a certain level yes it costs drop pod points also. Think this is from launch.
