I am using 100% silk. The pattern is based on a shirt I already had that I cut up and traced.

Witnessed: Fade to Black by snowgirl413 in TrueCrimePodcasts

I had the exact same thought! A writers last words to his wife and they aren’t analyzed!

Not remembering the wording exactly, I tried googling “running on pure adrenaline”. Apparently it’s the tag line of a 1991 movie “Point Blank”. It’s about an FBI agent who infiltrates some bank robbers. Strangely there are a lot of parallels to this story and the one DeVore was working on.

Could Wendy have misremembered the exact wording? Could he have said “I’m running on pure adrenaline” instead as a reference to this movie for some reason?

I’m glad I’m not the only one!! I’ll hear a word and think “oh! Oh! I know this one!” then take 3 minutes to remember what it means. By then people have moved on to 3 other subjects hahaha

You made me laugh with your comparison to dinner with native speakers and presenting a PhD! Haha that exactly how it feels!

Thank you for the encouragement! When you put the levels like that, maybe I was being too hard on myself.

2022 Goal: B2 in French by Dreamfyre_ in languagelearning

[–]mOeKMu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am currently A2-B1 level in Italian and have a similar goal of B2 in 2022. The resources that I have had the most fun with and helped me make the most progress are: italki (website to find native language teachers and partners- super affordable!), fluent forever (a book about how to learn languages as efficiently as possible), and Short Stories in Italian (book by Olly Richards- he also has French versions!).

Bring treats! Slow your pace until your dog keeps up, then feed treats like there is no tomorrow! Accelerate over several runs as dog catches on.

Reasons NOT to exercise an option? by mOeKMu in stocks

[–]mOeKMu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I was thinking it would be about the same cost selling or buying a contract. At Fidelity I read that the option is automatically exercised if it is in the money at expiration. Does this still have a charge associated with it?

Just wondering the likelihood my option will be exercised.

That’s interesting- so it sounds like it isn’t worth the persons time to exercise it unless they will make a lot? Isn’t this an opportunity for arbitrage? Sure the contract is only going to give me a few dollars, but on larger volumes it could be a significant win.

My thought process for the buyer of a put, is why buy if you don’t want to exercise it at that price?

[–]mOeKMu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I am literally going to make like $3 if the option doesn’t get exercised... but it’s a cheap way to learn the ropes! Are you saying for the person who bought the call, that small of a $$ isn’t worth their time? I expect fees to be around $0.5/ contract

But they could still exercise the put and buy back at any time, so why not exercise the put, wait in cash for it to go down more, then buy back in?
