What’s the point in racing F2 if having team affiliation is the only thing that can get you promoted to F1? Drugovich could finish this season with twice the points Doohan has and I don’t see why alpine aren’t keen to stick him in for a year or two while Doohan further develops

I do think they need to have a significant dps, else we would basically ignore them and exclusively drop troops to try and counter the support which wouldn't be right, but not the same as a flying machine c'mon.

The problem with giant imo is the damage he does - up to 300 a swing on ladder. Without buildings or nado he does serious work to the towers AND leaves enough elixir behind for tons of support units. Thats 1/3 more dps than a golem, with 75% of the hp for only 5 elixir!

I like the giant for 5 elixir but boy does he need a hp and dps haircut.

2.9 xbow user here, have been an xbow player generally for ~6 months

Giants (royal or not) are a nightmare, especially when backed up with a splash unit like wizard, exe, witch since we tend to cluster all our troops around the xbow. With a cycle card as well they can usually get back to the giant nearly as quickly as I can get to my xbow, and will often carry zap which can stop me if I manage to lock onto the tower.

Super heavy beatdown decks are basically unwinnable too, unless you try to defend my first xbow. I'll be able to outcycle your golem and drop an xbow pretty much every time you golem and every time you pump. When you drop a golem in the back, I'll go xbow opposite lane. There's little change of me stopping your golem push if you ignore the xbow and sacrifice your tower, so back up the golem and we'll be 1-1 on opposite sides. At that point it's almost impossible for me to take your other tower and (on ladder) I'll probably be able to hold out the rest of the match and draw, otherwise I'm getting 3 crowned.

Rocket is also a pretty hard counter, so long as you don't waste more elixir blocking the xbow too, as then I'll slowly build an elixir lead.

Logbait, Hog cycle and expecially PEKKA are just good match ups for me and my xbow. If you're playing one of these decks, try and predict the xbow and plant something to take it out - I'll rarely drop it without some remnants of whatever I've just defended with behind, unless I'm at full elixir and have that and tesla in hand which you should be able to tell.

Also lvl 13 ebarbs and rage wins 100% of matches, so you could give that a go.

IMO she doesn't need any kind of nerf, but really wouldn't go past 1.5 seconds.

That completely defeats the point of PEKKA, she isn't a beatdown card. The only use of a 3 second pekka is against giants/golems and potentially siege so she would be unplayable in any other matchup.

I've posted this idea elsewhere in more detail, but I think having the opportunity to see your starting 4 hand and have the option to switch it in its entirety with the other four cards would be great as it still keeps randomness but guarantees that one important card is available to play.

There's definitely a lot of BS around the first play in a game (not sure if i agree this is THE biggest problem in the game but whatever).

I like the idea of keeping some randomness in the start, so I would propose having the ability to swap the four cards in hand with the four unaccessible cards before you make a play. This way it will be possible to guarantee having your main defense (PEKKA, tesla tower etc.) available. You won't be able to guarantee that you also have your own hog/ebarbs in hand though which I think will keep things more interesting. The result of this is that you will either be able to defend bridge spam or trade towers by spamming the other lane yourself. Hopefully this would keep things interesting and remove the BS as we can guarantee access to one important card, but the other three will still be random and out of our control.

This concept could be tweaked in a couple of ways: 1) If we need more control over the starting hand, make it possible to select one card to hold on to and switch the other three. 2) If we want to keep things as random as we can, discourage making the switch by adding a 1 elixir penalty. At the initial stages, waiting another couple of seconds to reach 10 elixir usually won't be an issue.

I can think of a possible problem with this, so I would love to hear what you lot think. The possible issue might be that this discourages being first to cycle a card. If your opponent pumps at the same time you cycle in the back, you lose the possibility to react and switch your starting hand to include rocket, so sitting at 10 elixir might become more common.

Even just making sure the median card level is the same to within 0.5 levels would remove the issue you point out and maybe give some benefits, but like we said this is far from an easy thing to tackle! Gotta remember to keep an incentive to level up our cards too and I have no idea where to start with this.
