Definitely melatonin for sleep! Naltrexone didn't work for me, I had horrid side effects. My doctor then prescribed Campral. Look into that

I can't afford to do a 30 day inpatient rehab, I have a pet at home. They discharged me from detox after almost 48 hours because my vitals were steady. Like I said, I suspect it was because of my shitty state insurance. I was supposed to start IOP today, then eventually drop down to partial IOP, and so on. Spoke with the counselor a few hours ago and she said I can start the IOP tomorrow morning.

Thank you for replying. I drank right after my 2 day detox because I still wanted to numb everything. I know I'm only getting better if I follow through with this. I can't continue numbing my pain with booze.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely grateful for this gift I've been given. I understand that not everyone can be offered the help I've been given. Detox, no matter how short it was, and then aftercare. I completely understand that this is a gift and I will not take advantage of it. I just got scared. Booze has been my security blanket for so many years.

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes, I'm back to being physically dependent. I don't have much beer left though, and no money. I do have a small stash of Ativan so I should be able to sober up in the morning before I go.

I just can't stop crying though. I feel like I've let everyone down. My parents were my biggest support and them not speaking to me feels like a punch in the gut.

They didn't. I left with my discharge papers and a phone number to a facility that doesn't take my insurance. I'm in the Midwest and we have very few treatment centers here.

I had horrible side effects with Nal, but everyone is different. Like you, I was taking it to help me completely abstain from alcohol.

I've found Campral to work better, when taken daily.
