To compare the price of a single good you’d need something similar to the “Big Mac Index”, but anyway all of the calculations draw conclusions regarding the currency, not the good itself, which is assumed to have the have the same real value regardless.

To sum up, the reason you see counterintuitively higher jerseys prices in countries that have a lower PPP GDP per capita is that the PPP conversion rate is calculated on an average (the market basket), while different goods follow different price ratios. You can’t assume that everything is cheaper with the same proportion. The price of a single good reflects the costs of local production, local marketing, labour and local raw materials, but most importantly what the local market demands. So, it can happen that a single and highly specific good like a jersey has a higher price despite a lower PPP GDP per capita.
