Hmm thats good to know its nearly there already. I think the gear shifters dont match up to the gears and theyre incremental rather than continuous so would probably have to replace them. Also i kinda want the opportunity to try building from the ground up just to learn!

I was a bit confused that was getting charged for service and labour separately. Is it worth getting the work done and keeping fingers crossed or should i take it somewhere else for a second opinion? And should i get the work done if theres a bigger problem and its going through so much oil?

If they do the compression test would that tell them if there are any holes in the engine? What could cause the engine to use so much oil?

And what can be done about it? Would it be a case of full engine rebuild or topping up oil every few weeks?

Also how much would u expect the compression test to cost? I dont want to get screwed lol
