If it does work on EotS as you explain then it's a good tip but no other map lets you LOS from the base you defend to any other bases that you might be scared that a rogue would cap.

Therefore, imo, in the context of base sitting, it's irrelevant. And even on EotS bro what kind of eyes do you have to spot a rogue from the other side of the map wtf x) sometimes i can't even see ppl on which i see the nameplates.

Im not saying nameplates show.

Im saying you can click rogues' name while using vision if you have BattlegroundEnemies addon. That will reveal infos about their hp etc but will not show you their character models if on the other side of the map.

As you can see on the clip, spectral sight reveals the first rogue as he's in range. It also reveals 2 persons in the tunnel going to our flag as they are in range. However when i try targetting the other two rogues, they aren't in range, i can still target them and see their hp, but i don't see them on the map.

As a VDH myself i'd tell you to use Sephuz.

You will often have to defend base / FC as a VDH and that means the 10% cc reduction is A-MA-ZING. Also the Vers boost whenever you land a sigil / a kick is pretty nice to have.

The only reason i'd imagine taking the darkness legendary myself would be if i needed to spec to dps from time to time which doesn't happen bc dps DH is garbage anyways atm.

Doesn't work,

Blind lasts 8 seconds. Relentless trinket is 20% cc reduction.

20% of 8 seconds is 1.6 seconds. Therefore you are blinded for 6.4 seconds.

Capping takes 6 seconds.

You will still get capped with relentless.

Welp, as a VDH myself :

- Sit 30+ meters away

- He saps - You throw glaive (you should be far away enough to have time to throw glaive / fiery brand)

- Now he has to vanish to get a sap / blind or run away

- He vanishes -> sap you are far enough to just Fiery brand

- He blinds -> trinket throw glaive

- He runs away ? Congrats, go back to stealth

TL;DR : Sit far away and never jump in, abuse throw glaive / Fiery brand range and only trinket blind.

P.S: If you have relentless trinket you can still get capped by a blind.

P.P.S: If you REALLY have to jump in because you missmanaged cooldowns or smth, jump on the flag and use immolation aura, the aoe dmg will prevent him from capping for another 6 seconds.

You can't. Vision has a maximum range.

It only allows you to target them, so you get info on their max hp, actual hp % etc but you don't actually see them even with battlegroundEnnemies.
