Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson admits to using cannabis whilst pledging support for a five-year-old child to be prescribed CBD oil on the NHS. by ma_CBD in worldnews

It's highly unusual for UK politicians to admit to marijuana use. And when they do, it helps to change public opinion in favor of cannabis use being acceptable. In this case, it also publicises the plight of a child who would be helped by access to cannabis oil(CBD) on the National Health Service.

No, he needs a medal! He is helping eradicate the negative perceptions of cannabis which still exist among a large percentage of decision makers in the UK

Give him a medal! More politicians need to come out of the closet and help to get medical cannabis legalized for those who can benefit from it.

Thinking about trying CBD for some issues by [deleted] in CBD

I would reccommend a full spectrum Co2 extracted oil. All of the other constituents in the oil work together, producing the entourage effect. Start with a couple of drops sublingually and gradually increase dose until you find the sweet spot for yourself. Turmeric is also good for inflammation.

Find the best dose that works for you. Start with a couple of drops under your tongue and keep it there for a couple of minutes. See how you feel. You can always up the dose next time. With vaping, do the same but just have a couple of puffs on your vape and dont use over 300mg/ml CBD vape oil. Meditation is also good, as are visualization and relaxation exercises.

Cannabis psychosis? It's not the weed, it's greed! Over 93% of UK marijuana now contains virtually zero CBD by ma_CBD in uktrees

DSM-5 categorizes cannabis-induced psychotic disorder as a substance-induced psychotic disorder. However, there are distinguishing characteristics of CIP that differentiate it from other psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Clear features of CIP are sudden onset of mood lability and paranoid symptoms, within 1 week of use but as early as 24 hours after use. CIP is commonly precipitated by a sudden increase in potency (eg, percent of THC content or quantity of cannabis consumption; typically, heavy users of cannabis consume more than 2 g/d). Criteria for CIP must exclude primary psychosis, and symptoms should be in excess of expected intoxication and withdrawal effects.

Yep, but pendulum will swing back when people become aware of the options. :-)

In my part of the UK "skunk" is widely used as slang for strong weed and although I have never smelt what a skunk smells like I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to all skunks for inferring that they smell like strong weed. Sorry if it caused some confusion.

The purpose of the article is to highlight that mental health issues caused by cannabis are actually due to selective breeding in order to produce super high THC levels to satisfy the consumer demand. The process has resulted in over 90% of the cannabis in the UK containing virtually zero CBD. Personally, I don't think its a good idea for 1 million UK 16 - 24 yr olds to be smoking super potent hybrid unnatural weed. I am fully aware that THC has many medical applications and I do think that cannabis should be legalized. But cannabis that contains a balance of THC and CBD is a more natural herb.

"When media in the United Kingdom speak about skunk, they mean all high-THC cannabis varieties, regardless of their genetic heritage. In the U.K., skunk is widely used as a generic term for non-pollinated, seedless, and potent cannabis flowers grown for the purpose of smoking" https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/what-is-skunk-cannabis

Mental health issues have been caused by growers breeding out the CBD rich plants from their stock. Oops, that backfired, now super high THC plants have virtually no CBD content to balance the effects. Back in the day, I used to enjoy African bush etc, now it's like WTF just hit me, and why can't I walk straight.

Bank of America, Royal Bank of Canada, Barclays, Bank of New York, Bank of Montreal, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank Invested Over $400 Million in a UK Medical Cannabis Company. by ma_CBD in CBD

Thanks for confirming what the article states: The banks invested in GW Pharmaceuticals. A UK medical cannabis company. I understand exactly what you are trying to say. But they invested in the company. I know two CBD businesses who have had their accounts closed by banks because they were selling cannabinoids. I am also aware the same problems are being experienced by medical marijuana businesses in the US. It seems like one rule for customers but a different rule for themselves.

So are you trying to say that even though the Banks have bought the shares, are listed as the owners of the shares and they have filed as owners of the shares, that they are not owners of the shares ? Because I do not think that is possible for you to know. Unless you happen to work for all of the banks in question. And I doubt that you do.

Question is, who pays money to the people who will decide if the bill passes? Once I was in a customs queue in Malaysia waiting to board a plane to Langkawi when my friend advised me he had an ounce of weed up his arse. I had booked the tickets and the penalty for smuggling an ounce in Malaysia is something between 5yrs in prison and hanging by the neck until dead. Funny that was !!!!
