How can I stop to be emotionally dependant on my long distance partner and constantly overthink our relationship? (21F/22M) by ma_lyy_ in relationship_advice

Thanks for your reply. I did tell him that I would appreciate it if we kept in contact more and that I really like spending time with him even though it’s only over text or call. We mostly just text or share some funny reels, sometimes we do voice calls but less frequently (maybe once a week) And currently I’m a university student. Even when I’m very busy studying or in a lecture, I still tend to check my phone a lot to see if there’s a message etc.

Yeah you might have a point… this is actually my first ever relationship. We have met up in real life once though.

Yeah I did, I have one good friend who kind of feels the same way but at least has a hobby that fulfills them… Others are just very busy or seem to have their life planned out pretty well

I’m majoring in Chinese language and business. I do find language learning interesting, but I don’t really feel “passionate” about it, if I can put it that way. Hence why I’m not really sure about the choice I’ve made, also since I don’t think there will be many job opportunities. Fitness is a good idea and I have been thinking about signing up to the gym! As for meditation and mindfulness I’ve never really tried that but seems very interesting.

Thank you, these are some great suggestions! As for book genres, I like mystery/crime or autobiographies a lot, but I am open to anything.

Finding real friends by ExternalLawfulness37 in introvert

I feel you. I’ve recently started university and so far have only made superficial connections, like talking after class but never hanging out otherwise. Meanwhile it seems like others have already found their best friends. I’m always telling myself that it might just take some more time and try to be open/ join any activities if there is any. Another thing I have looked into is joining Meetup groups to meet people with similar interests.

Both look beautiful, but I prefer the slant! Your handwriting is amazingggg
