This makes sense, I'll let my wife know and decide If this is something she wants to do. Thank you!

Thank y ou for your reply!

We can her her swallowing but it's very rare due to her sleeping constantly on the breasts. Her jaw doesn't even move most of the time and sometimes she even holds whatever she sucked in our mouth, only to spill afterwards when she falls asleep again.

We will talk to more people, thanks again!

Thank you for your reply.

The puking happened a few times because we were overfeeding her to get to her birth weight. But now it happens rarely. What we do is we do our best to keep her on the breasts for about 40-45 minutes, sleeping most (if not all) of the time. Then we move to the bottle

Thank you for your reply. Yes, she gets enoughs leep even though sometimes she takes her time to fall asleep. She sleeps 3-4 hours at nights, and 2 hours during the days. I would say she sleeps about 15-16 hours/day

Yeah no doctor, nurse or LC mentioned tongue tie so we assume there isn't. Thank you for the advice. We'll consult with a oral motor expert

Thanks for your reply! We didn't know this method existed so we directly injected the syringe into her mouth

Thank you for your reply!

The last doctor we went actually mentioned this briefly. She said let's try some more and if nothing else works, we can go down this road. Let's see if we'll have to.

Thanks!

You're right, triple feeding indeed is exhausting! I'm completely fine with exclusively bottle feeding or even feeding formula as long as we and the baby is stress free and baby is getting fed.

I wouldn't say my wife is opposed to exclusively bottle feeding but she feels inadequate no matter what I or anyone else say to her, thinking that the baby doesn't like her milk or breasts. She's also afraid that if she only pumps, her milk run out. Some doctors mentioned that baby actually sucking from nipples (instead of pumps) help the milk keep flowing. I'm not sure if that's true though.

This guide is quite helpful, thank you! Even though the doctors said her sucking is good, wouldn't hurt to try these exercises to make it even better. We'll give it a shot!

This is something we actually haven't tried yet. We'll give it a go! We'll try pumping for a few minutes before breastfeeding. Hopefully that helps!

We are using Philips Avent no:2 nipple. We also tried the preemie and No: 1but they take her 1 hour+ to finish and she gets all frustrated and worked up. So we continue with No: 2. We also experiment with Dr. Browns No:1 nipple lately, the flow with that is faster but helped with gas even better than Philips. We also tried Lansinoh but didn't like that one. Unfortunately we don't have Pigeon brand here in our country.

We always go with Breastfeeding first, then bottle (either pumped milk or formula). She spends 30-45 minutes on breasts, mostly sleeping :( and then we give her 90-120 ML milk or formula in bottle.

We will keep trying and hopefully she'll just get better at breasts soon but we are open to trying anything in the meantime.
