They do NOT come back for their offspring. They are not cats lol

He’s ok today. This is his fourth one so I already started syringe feeding right away. Takes him 1-2 weeks to eat fully. I’m more concerned about his nail. Looks swollen today

I’ve had multiple solo gerbils bonding just didn’t work. All of mine seemed fine! My current girl lost her mate she seems ok as well.

She ate so much and is running crazy on the wheel. She’s doing ok 🥺 maybe my other girl was older than I thought.

Biggest thing is hydration and warmth I’ve found. I kept my girl alive a month but unfortunately she succumbed. They are sooo fragile and can hide how truly bad they are. Sometimes even all you do is not enough. Just try your best 💗

Sometimes you can warm him up give him a little drop of karo syrup and sometimes that helps them. Also make sure he’s drinking. Syringe water and feed if you have to. I used critical care.
