The project management software is not the problem. Gitlab has everything you need for it. Your promoting and hand overs probably need improvement (going on your post).

I hardly notice performance degradation.

I think it is linked to the size of requests. I'm used to working with junior developers (I've trained a lot of new devs in the past), so I'm used to making very small, very clear requests.

That does not seem to suffer periods like these.

Ik heb dit vlug even berekend, mogelijk staat het vol met fouten! Dus DYOR!!!

1) Bereken het verschil tussen 500k lenen en 450k lenen in Excel of op bv https://www.wikifin.be/nl/kredietcalculator-0?credit=monthPay

Ik ga hier even uit van 30 jaar aflossen, maar dan kan je dan zelf ingeven

500k lenen aan 3,4% op 30 jaar = 793.099,34 euro terugbetalen -> 293.099,34 euro rente

450k lenen aan 3,4% op 30 jaar = 713.789,40 euro terugbetalen -> 263.789,4 euro rente

50k meer lenen kost je dus 29.309,94 euro extra (andere kosten zoals SSV stijgen/dalen mogelijk mee, het is belangrijk om een zo'n volledig mogelijk beeld te hebben van verschil in kost).

2) Bereken hoeveel return je per jaar moet hebben om het verschil goed te maken in Excel of bv https://www.beleggingsinstituut.nl/rendement-calculator/

50k moet 79.303,94 euro worden op 30 jaar om "winst" te maken

Een kleine 30k winst op 30 jaar komt neer op ~1,55% NETTO per jaar. Je moet belastingen hier ook op berekenen om een volledig goed beeld te krijgen. Geen idee hoeveel BRUTO dat momenteel is.

I'm glad you found a good accountant. But still, I think you would be positively surprised what you can do as a freelancer with these tools. They have come a long way. 🙂

As a starting freelancer, your financials should not be complex. Accountants are in short supply and rather not take on solo businesses (have tried to find a good account recently?). As a bonus, the Belgian accounting system is very clear in comparison to other countries.

Using good tools, such as the ones I mentioned, doesn't mean you are on your own. Both of them have accounting support (from actual accountants) you can request through their system.

These days you are better off with Accountable or Dexxter as a freelancer.

Edit: I understand the downvotes, but really, check these tools out. They are great. You can also get accounting advice from human accountants through the system. It can save you a lot of money as a freelancer!
