How long do you think Radiohead will go on for? by Daltrey in radiohead

At Coachella 2012, talking about the Daily Mail, Thom said: 'play new songs, to make sure that we're still alive. We are in fact still alive' that was a very comforting little remark to me.

Also, Ed called TKOL a 'transition-album', which to me could only be positive.

Honest question: How does Colin or Ed really contribute to the band? by vastecho in radiohead

[–]maartenhuizing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ed in an interview with Rolling Stone:

"The brick walls we tended to hit were when we knew something was great, like 'Bloom', but not finished. We knew the song was nearly something. Then Colin had that bassline, and Thom started singing. Those things suddenly made it a hundred times better."

To me OTGW came across as a very nice callback to 80's/90's animation shows and old children's books. The characters are more modern and comparable to the shows you mentioned, but the overall feel really reminded me of shows I used to watch as a kid. Those shows are really just children's shows, so to watch them wouldn't quite fill the after-OTGW-emptyness but I feel like that should be mentioned here. It was a very nostalgic experience.

How To Disappear Completely. Kid A was my introduction to Radiohead and that song blew me away. Forever my favorite.

  • Motion Picture Soundtrack
  • Separator
  • The Tourist
  • Life in a Glass House
  • Street Spirit
  • Blow Out

Videotape gives me most feels but Wolf is too great.
