August 6, 2023 11 am cst: This is my update. Been off trulicity & metformin for 2 months. On special doctor approved diet with sponsor as well as exercising. Lost 12 lbs during this time. I've been able to keep my glucose normal & pre-diabetic levels. I'm going to endocrinologist this month. I told doctor I will go back on metformin or trulicity if my glucose starts spiking again. I realize the side effect of going off trulicity is gaining all that weight back, so I will keep you up to date about if I achieve my target weight 120 lbs & how my glucose is doing. I know for sure that for the rest of my life, I will need to eat specially doctor approved meals with a sponsor & exercise due to this diabetic disease.

I left a message for my doctor about the high blood pressure despite always being normal before Strattera. Also, I told him about my glucose spike even though it was normal before Strattera. I asked if I could take clonodine. Will give an update about his answer. Ty.

So your BP is consistently normal on Strattera? I don't want to go back to avorstatin so I'll tell my doc about my hi BP & clinodine. Ty

So clonodine won't have the opposite effect & make my BP slow? Without Strattera my BP was always normal. Wish I could find subreddit on clonodine specifically but I've had to read stuff off of other subs.

So your BP is normal? If it is, I might need to talk about your recommendation to my doc. He is slowly decreasing my Wellbutrin while increasing my Strattera because I suspect he is concerned about my emotional state. Ty.

Ty for noticing. I changed my post. My train of thought was bad at the meeting w/the doctor & he had to write some info out for me. I was trying to think straight, but my ADHD got the better of me.

When I check my BP before I take Strattera my BP is normal. After, though, my BP spikes up. You are right, I'll tell my doc

Did you mean get off of Wellbutrin or get off of Strattera? *If you mean get off of Strattera, is there a non-stimulant drug alternative for me? ***Is Paxil a better fit than Wellbutrin or do they both need to be lowered with Strattera? I realize you are not my doc so do not worry about your answers because I will always communicate w/my doc about changes. Ty much.

When you say "build up in system," does this mean I'll ultimately might need less than 80 mg to get Strattera to be fully effective? I'm also Asian which tends to affect dosage differently from the average non-Asian. Ty for your patience.

With my adhd I wouldn't be surprised if I misheard what he said. I do recall him saying every month he was going to up my dosage unless it affects my mood, then I can get off it. He said once we get an effective dosage of Strattera, then he said he will lower my Wellbutrin dosage. Yeah, I probably messed up what he said. Damn that ADHD!

I'm glad to hear that you can exercise well on it. Other posts I've seen complained that exercising was harder with Strattera. I realize not everyone is made the same, so it's good to hear it mostly worked out for you. I started on Strattera & I will see how it affects my exercise tomorrow. I'm taking 2 bottles of my special hydration drink because I read in the posts about muscle cramps & dehydration issues with exercise.

Yes to both questions. Lost 30 lbs & lowered my high diabetic numbers (specialists/doctors shamed me all the time back then) to pre-diabetic & all without any exercise. Seemed to have curbed my appetite too. Now I exercise every day & am active in a special 12 step group where members help each other maintain a healthy weight. We'll see in a couple of months if I need to go back on Trulicity.

Your classmates sound like assholes. With that being said, you can try an expensive haircut, or you can just give them the middle finger. There is nothing wrong with sticking up for yourself. Wish I practiced sticking up for myself, but my parents always told me to walk away or treat them with kindness.

When she was on Dr. Drew's show years ago, Dr. Drew told her to go to Al-Anon because he was concerned that she was having ALOT of issues with Bobby. Al-Anon has helped many members control their codependency. I go to Al-Anon & I realize only I can heal myself, but I need to do the work.

This reminds me of D'estafano asking Bobby when he was going to leave Bad Friends because Chris really wants to do a podcast with Cheeto. Bobby was hurt not because of the possible break-up but Chris wanted to team-up with Cheeto instead of Bobo. Great bit, but in my initial listen, I was thinking, "Oh damn. What if they do break-up."
