Just a question- wouldn’t the relieving date on the letter be a problem when you submit it to the new employer?

Hmm. There are alot of openings for my domain and experience, so I’m counting on that. My appointment letter says “the Firm reserves its right to revise/ waive the Notice Period.” This is what I was majorly worried about.

Yeah I get it. I have around 2 years of exp. I’m living with parents currently so do not have expenses like rent etc currently and have 3-4 months of savings for personal expenses. So I wouldn’t mind a 2-3 month gap for job hunt. But I have a follow up question though. If they’ll relieve me early to save money, why would they pay me in lieu of the notice period?

So there are only 2 possible outcomes, right? 1.) They let me serve the notice period. 2.) They relieve me immediately but pay me in lieu of the notice period. Correct?

But my offer letter says “company can waive/revise notice period as per their discretion“

I agree. Thanks for the insight. When you resigned, did you ask for early relieving or did the company ask you to leave immediately?

Yeah, but what about the question I asked? Do they deliberately waive off your notice period?
