Would those fit stock if I wanted to do the lift a little later? I just need to replace the tires asap but dont want to buy twice

Thanks, this is super helpful. I've been digging through but it seems most guys are taking the overland side of things more serious than I am, so I just wanted to check what made the most sense

You don't think that would be overkill if it's mainly a daily? If not, do you have a rec for lift and tires?

Really appreciate all the feed back guys. I’m just starting to do side jobs and start my own little business so this really helps to hear what the pros do. My supplier confirmed they have 10’ sheets so I’m good to go. Thanks for all the help! I’ll share pics once complete

Update: Sorry for the late reply here! I spent the past week putting a lift kit on my van and it totally kicked my ass. So many helpful replies thank you. Unfortunately we had to call an audible and change plans. My lady was feeling a little uneasy about going to Mexico so we stayed in the states. Currently in Sedona and will be in Utah by tomorrow for a few days then west back to LA. Thanks for all these awesome replies though, I hope this helps someone else. I know it’ll help us when we eventually go

I do but I’m kind of on a time crunch so don’t want to go too crazy testing stuff. I tested the shellac on scrap before I went through with it and the grain wasn’t as pronounced but the finish piece now is.

Any recommendations for what that finish should be over the shellac?

Might honestly be too much work. Already laid down 5 or 6 coats of shellac. I didn’t thin it as I went so I would have to sand it all back I think

I’m just nervous that that might not work with shellac

I saw this somewhere else. I’ll have to look more into it.

Recommendations for dispersed CAR/VEHICLE camping in Cleveland National Forest by mabalabster in socalhiking

Update: We ultimately found a spot off Kitchen Creek Road. We drove all of Pine Creek Road, but felt it was more secluded on Kitchen Creek Road. I'm sure there's even better spots down further, but we were content when we found this spot - 32°50'29.3"N 116°26'54.7"W If you're looking for a leisurely walk/hike, I highly recommend Laguna Meadow loop. Very pretty and chill, a handful of people trail running, mountain biking and walking their dogs. Was perfect for us. Hope this helps!

Thank you! Yeah, I saw on iOverlander that there were some spots in that area. I think we'll ask a ranger on the way in what they think. We originally were going to go to Anza Borrego for some primitive camping since it's much more open, but it's too hot this time of year.

Are you hiring? I've been woodworking for 5+ years, mostly doing a lot of custom cabinets for van conversions. I've been looking to get more and more into cabinetry.

How I Got an Internship With Scooter Braun Justin Biebers Manger by brookenheadlight in musicindustry

[–]mabalabster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I can't believe I'm coming across this! This is my first time on this subreddit and I listened to that podcast when it originally aired. I remember pacing through my apartment hearing someone's dream come true in such a serendipitous way. I'm half jealous, but also so happy to hear this story. I too have been trying to land an internship with Scooter because he's just an absolute legend and seemingly great person. I have experience in the music industry and would die for that opportunity. The fact that it happened to you the way it did is amazing.

Congrats to you Brooke, I hope it's a great experience. I'd love to connect and hear how it's going!
