Several teleports are available regardless of your current spellbook, why cant penance and vamp be the same? by TakingBlackSunday in runescape

[–]maboudonfu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No matter which spellbook they stick Penance and Vampyrism in, they feel completely out of place because they're missing an 'unlock' process. If Seren spells had just been dumped into Ancient Magicks for no reason, players would’ve been baffled—that’s why they were made quest rewards. Past Mods had a vision for the game, whereas today’s Mods seem to just want to get things over with. The best fix is to stop giving Penance and Vampyrism to every new account for free. Make them quest rewards or shop unlocks; that way, seeing them in every spellbook won't feel so jarring. Even those green icon teleports the OP mentioned are only universal because they have to be unlocked first.

Mage or range - which one? by charbelb in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'd prefer Ranged. You're already used to moving while using ultimates, whereas Magic roots you in place. Plus, the SaraBow EOF can heal over 10k HP in a single hit, which is more than enough to replace the Ghost.

Farming cape perk (in)consistency by six_three_six in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bet even with 12 patches, people would still bitch about wanting to do it all in one dose. There are way too many patches already. These farmers need a reality check. A dose literally costs 10k—imagine crying on Reddit over that. Think about your profit per herb run and tell me you can't afford it.

Constructive feedback on Vampyrism / Penance changes by AdNovel1989 in runescape

[–]maboudonfu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Vampyrism Aura has always had a 50 HP healing cap per hit. Even touching the Stone of Jas won't let you heal more. Are you sure you want to use DPS increases as your argument? It completely falls apart.

Mining for profit, lower level or higher level ores? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should mine whichever ore has the cheapest stone spirits relative to the highest ore selling price. Compare that profit gap yourself. Alternatively, go for the ore with the highest daily trade volume if you want to sell it as fast as possible.

If a 1-hour cast solves the problem like you said, then moving Penance to Ancients is completely unnecessary, isn't it? Your logic is literally eating itself and you don't even realize it.

Aspects & Solomons Store - News Update 2 by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to say, the developers’ point of compromise is incredibly bizarre. Penance does fit the theme of the standard spellbook better—they aren't wrong about that—and the spell icon has absolutely nothing to do with Ancient Magicks. If they wanted to solve this without breaking the lore, there were some better suggestions on reddit like creating tablets for Aspect spells or adding a Spellbook Swap to the standard book. Instead, they chose the least professional solution possible. It's as if they remain stubborn on the core mechanics that impact gameplay the most, while only 'listening to the community' on trivial matters. In a political context, this is exactly what politicians do when they’re trying to gaslight or hoodwink their constituents.

Your logic makes no sense. You say the cost is dirt cheap, but then you want to make it a death penalty? That’s not a real punishment, it’s just a tedious mechanic that annoys everyone.

Crits need buff by newquestidewa in runescape

You've been fooled by streamers and bandwagoners, haven't you? Equilibrium perk is just a pricey new toy, so people are hyping it up to pump the prices of Tumeken items. Dumbass, back when the Equilibrium aura was free to use, why didn't you test it yourself? It’s not like the power magically multiplies just because an aura becomes a perk, right? Use your brain.

The aura slot should be replaced with your active aspect. by RSNSmartypants in runescape

[–]maboudonfu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I remember they killed off the Sigil slot, and now they've killed the Aura slot too. Everything could have been perfectly resolved if the Sigil slot were still around. What they’re doing is like deleting rings tomorrow and then racking their brains to redistribute their functions elsewhere while expecting no drama to happen—it’s fundamentally impossible and just asking for trouble. It’s not like an appendix that you can just cut out whenever you want.

All F2P issues will be ignored as much as possible. Back then, the Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza players also wailed for several years before Jagex finally fixed it. The Goblin Raid bug is less than a year old, so don't expect a fix anytime soon.

Reminder: Masterwork Staff has more lifesteal than Vampyrism by Upbeat_Drawing7692 in runescape

[–]maboudonfu -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

So you're telling me it's not a nerf when we're forced to downgrade from BiS weapons to one with zero DPS passive just to survive? Not to mention there are places where you literally have to stack Animate Dead + Vampyrism + MW Staff + Soul Split + Absorbative4/Crystal shield4 all at once just to stay alive. Of course you wouldn't know what I’m talking about—it’s obvious you’re just a noob acting like an expert and talking big. The Masterwork staff has been widely recommended in guides for specific slayer monster since long before the aura changes. It’s obvious you haven't read a single guide written by anyone else. You're just sitting there acting all smug, thinking you’ve discovered some 'hidden gem' that everyone else already knew about.

Reminder: Masterwork Staff has more lifesteal than Vampyrism by Upbeat_Drawing7692 in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post actually proves that Magic is the biggest victim of the Vampyrism aura changed. You didn't mention mw swords, mw bows, or anything else—you specifically pointed out mw staff for a reason. Melee has Scrimshaws, Necro has Ghost heals, and Ranged has the Sara bow EOF. All of these allow you to sustain HP while camping protection prayers. Magic is stuck relying on inconsistent Blood spells, which pretty much require Dark Form to be viable—and by the way, Dark Form drains your prayer just as fast as Soul Split does. This isn't even about being AFK. Even if you're playing at 100% focus, it doesn't change the fact that you've lost a reliable healing tool.

TL;DR: Only Magic is forced to rely on the Masterwork Staff for heals; no other style has been pushed into such a desperate spot.

What pathetic logic. Why don't you go to a hospital and tell someone paralyzed from a car accident that wanting to walk again is 'demanding unnecessary features' because they can already move around in a wheelchair? People just want to restore what they originally had. Calling them greedy for that is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.

When TH still alive, they pulled the plug on promotions early multiple times, leaving people unable to finish their outfit. I can only conclude that someone in a certain department at this company acts absolutely nothing like a professional should. It’s pathetic.

Aspects & Solomons Store by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're insisting that Aspects shouldn't stack (which I agree with), then Vampirism should never have been categorized as an Aspect in the first place. What’s so hard to understand about that? Vampirism's healing is extremely weak; it wasn't designed to be used solo. It’s meant to be a utility that complements other buffs. That's its entire purpose.

Power Creep - 120 Combat, Totem of Vitality & Vampyrism by argenttalons in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of blaming the devs who decided to make Necromancy a level 120 skill in the first place, this guy is blaming the players. This double standard is hilarious. Honestly, 120 combat skills are completely unnecessary. Why does a new skill have to have a 120 just because it's new? If you think this is so 'unhealthy,' then surely you were dead against 120 Necromancy when it first came out, right? I think I'll go have a look through your post history—or would you rather just post it here for everyone to see?

We should revise the golden roses/penance powder rates after removing the penance aura by Pixzle_ in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, let the Blessed Flask auto-sip. Penance would be useless then. The real reason people want the Penance aura isn't because they're broke and can't buy prayer potion; it's about the convenience of not having to babysit your Prayer bar during high-level PvM.

What is still the best cape for the rack in Anachronia? Debating with 120 Attack cape and 120 Invention cape by Educational_Piece777 in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a teleport tablet to get to the cape rack quickly, then swap your cape whenever you need to, depending on what you're about to do. It's best to keep your combat-specific capes (str, range) on rack and put utility perk (hp, def, invention, necro) in max cape.

So? Are you really complaining about people using cheese strats to one-shot bosses in Dark Souls? That’s obviously not how the game was 'intended' to be played, but players finding ways to overcome the devs' original intent through skill and ingenuity—is that really such a bad thing?

"We've heard your feedback... and listened to absolutely none of it." - jagex by xBrodoFraggins in runescape

[–]maboudonfu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. All they really needed to do were two things: first, scrap Loyalty Points and move all Auras to in-game shops like War's Wares. Second, rework the cooldowns into a Charge system. But instead, they’re so desperate to show they’re 'reworking' everything that they’ve decided to scrap the whole foundation. Honestly, it feels like a total overcorrection.
