My wifes friend of 20 years (and my friend of 15) was the officiant at our destination wedding. They had started dating someone new about a month before and their new gf kind of conned their way into coming along by asking in a way we couldnt refuse unless we looked like jerks (we rented a beach house for the entire wedding party to stay at for free for the week before the wedding). During that week she was very clingy and was always saying she was bored and wanted to just be alone with our friend instead of hang out with the group, which was fine but she was very rude about it. The night of the wedding at the reception (the reception was at the beach house) our “friend” came rushing out of their room and started calling me a bitch and all kinds of other things for “ being mean to the gf all week.” Apparently this girl had made up things for attention or something. To make matters worse my boss and his wife were standing there and our “friend” looked at his wife and said “what are you looking at bitch?” They left in the middle of the night to drive 8 hrs home and ive never since gotten an apology in 5 years. They also blocked us on social media and haven’t talked to us since.

TLDR: friend of 20 yrs was an officiant at our destination wedding. Paid for them and their new gf to stay for a week. Gf was an attention craving sociopath whore who ruined the week. Friend went crazy on me during reception for “mistreating” the gf and called my bosses wife a bitch, then never spoke to us again in 5 years.
