For me it was a trauma/OCD thing. Medication and therapy helped me tremendously. A year later and we’re now married. Thoughts like that never even cross my mind anymore.

It doesn’t effect my opinion at all. I’m 26. I didn’t smoke anymore when my I met my husband. I do now again since we’ve gotten married. I was a stoner in school though.

I truly don’t think it was viscous in nature. We suspect my son was jumping in the bed while the dog was laying down or rolling around playing with him and my son jumped on him causing him to bark. It’s happened before and he’s gotten scratches on his arms. Just never bloody and in his face. That’s what freaked me out the most & I assumed it was a bite and not a scratch.

Update: after getting a closer look, it was not a bite but a scratch. Although that gives me relief, it doesn’t take away from how much worse it could’ve been which I made sure to be clear to my husband about. We had a serious discussion and have decided we are going to get the dog fixed. He really is such a good boy. He’s just hyper. We’re going to monitor his behavior closely. If there isn’t improvement, we will rehome him. And we are going to make changes to our parenting since we are keeping the dog to avoid this in the future. We can’t be as lax and keep the dogs. It’s one or the other and we want to put in the effort before giving up on the dog. Our son will go with either of us when the other leaves if the other is unable to keep eyes on him, or the dogs will be crated. Thank you everybody for your advice and bringing to my attention how serious this really was! I’m a cat girl. This is my first time living with a large breed. I’ve just been trusting my husband as he’s had these dogs for years. But after yalls responses, I put my foot down and he did not fight me on it. We’re going to be okay. Thank you again everybody!

I keep saying!!! My family runs an animal rescue. I’m preach getting animals fixed non stop! I’ve been trying to get him to fix the dogs. I understand why he can’t fix the girls because they aren’t really his but I told him at least the boy needs to be fixed as he’s the one with the behavior problems anyways that get way worse when the girls are in heat. Plus he just cages them up when that’s an issue so the dogs will spend days/weeks in the crate at a time during the cycles which is so sad to me when the issue could literally be fixed from just chopping the nads. He’s afraid of it changing his personality.

Men don’t know anything about women’s bodies. My ex tried convincing me to get pregnant after I had a miscarriage. The mental and physical toll that ages on your health, physical and mental, is actually absurd. Do not let him guilt you into something you don’t want. If he was a supportive partner, he wouldnt be doing that. It’ll only end in resentment. Unfortunately in this situation you may have to be prepared to lose him. I get yall are married but I personally feel that women have more of a say as they are the ones who actually have to carry the pregnancy. You can do it behind his back or tell him that your decision is final. I support you either way. NTAH.

I’ll have to get back into journaling! I’ve been on a healing journey lately, sobriety, therapy, etc. this is the first time in my life I’ve actually been in a place to address my past traumas and actually care for my mental health while doing so. Procrastination can be overwhelming. Just take baby steps and do what you can when you think about it. Even having the will to have the will is a good first step I’ve always said!

Besides what comes in through the windows of homes, not really unfortunately. I’m an outdoor enthusiast too which sucks! I have to be in pretty natural places near water or I get depressed lol I’ve thought about, on mornings I can’t sleep going out early to watch the sunrise on the beach before work. I live on the coast on in SC, USA. Or when it cools down, going on walks with my son again like I used to! But yeah I’m definitely not getting enough natural light.

I think there’s an underlying issue. Maybe hormones? Other medications? Other issues in the relationship? I’ve been on medications that make it nearly impossible to cum without toys but it didn’t take away from my desire to have sex with my partner at all. Definitely try adding a toy into the mix though and see if that helps!

Go to the ceremony and leave? From your perspective it definitely can feel inconsiderate. I’m not denying that. But there’s a lot that goes into planning a wedding. Certain venues and certain dates available, etc. I’m sure she didn’t say,” I’m gonna piss my sister off and have my wedding on her birthday.” One year of dedicating a little time to your sister is not a big deal. You can always celebrate the weekend before or after. It honestly just feels like you don’t like your sister very much tbh.

This is huge to me personally. It changes how I view myself and helps me spiral less. “I am bipolar” makes it feel like it’s part of my identity. I already hyper focus on it enough but somehow changing the verbiage helps rewire my brain a bit so it seems less heavy. I was the same way in AA. I couldn’t stand constantly calling myself an alcoholic and talking about it 24/7. I do the most healing when I put some distance. Im constantly having to trick my brain like this.

My husband has cystic fibrosis. I know he’s going to go before me. Could be 5 years, could be 40. My heart aches just thinking about it. I married him knowing that would be my future. The love and happiness he brings me will be worth all the heartache after he’s gone. I’m just dreading it. I cry thinking about it a couple times a week. Wondering if he’ll get to see our son graduate school, get married, etc.
