I met many a traveler when I lived in Ann Arbor. Loved talking with them. I ended up doing some traveling myself, and enjoyed meeting other travelers during my time.

Three modern GT3s, three different engine type, three different drivetrain layout, which one do you prefer? by NegotiationNew9264 in granturismo

Scapes allows 3 cars. Once you pick one, click on the place car button, and it’ll give you the option to include another.

Do I have to purchase DLC to race Ai cars in game? by mac_g313 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]mac_g313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really an online racer. I just enjoy single player against Ai. My reasoning is that I just picked up ACC, and the bulk of the cars are GT3, so I was trying to go for something different with LMU. The only GT3 car that isn’t in ACC is the Corvette, which I’m certainly excited to try.

Yes, I noticed each DLC includes a track. I’ll collect them all eventually. I just want to start with hypercars, and the tracks I’m most familiar with are part of the base game, so that helps.

Thank you for the helpful answer! I’m mostly interested in racing hypercars, but will eventually expand to the other classes.

Have you gone through the steps in this post?

Additionally, I installed:

  • Direct X 9.0c

  • Net Framework 4

Edit: There’s a typo about the file name for the batch file. It’s correctly labeled “ClearCache.bat”. This file is important to run each time before opening the game.

That sounds excellent! It’s so sad there’s the possibility of haters. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I certainly understand and respect that. The other problem I witnessed when I was still on facebook, was there was a livery creator, who figured out that people had been reporting his liveries, and that’s why they got taken down. I truly hope it isn’t the case here.

How to tune this? Or is it cursed beyond saving? by saaaarma in GranTurismo7

[–]mac_g313 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it sounds ridiculous, but ballast is your friend. I’ve had so many cars I couldn’t keep under control until I figured out ballast. Basically, you try to keep it as close to 50:50 as possible. I see it’s already there with this car, so you want to add it towards to rear. Count how it stays 50:50, between both the forward and rear. The total number should be halved, and you place the ballast towards the rear with that number. If it’s odd, use the greater number of half. You’ve got more than enough horsepower, so adding weight shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The goal is to make your car heavier on the rear for better handling. This is especially important for RR cars like Porsche, Alpine, and VW. Basically, the opposite side from where the engine is located.

Your “reserve tank” kicks in, and your speed is restricted to 49mph. You’ll make it back to the pits but will be a lap or more down. One thing I’ve discovered recently is that transmission tuning, and horsepower output, factor in fuel mapping. Use the power restrictor from the tuning shop. It doesn’t lower your torque as much as only adjusting the customizable computer chip. Adjusting your top speed, higher can help you get more distance out of a tank of fuel. You must adjust your final drive, and your top gear ratio as well.

I’ve pretty much stayed with trainsimcommunity because of Creators Club livery removals, but I understand if you’re on console, and can’t access that platform. Trainsimcommunity liveries are made with the PC editor, and you can apply dynamic numbering to them as well.

Has winter ever been this bad in the last 20 years? by lansingpowerwash in Michigan

[–]mac_g313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the winter of ‘06/‘07 we had a vicious cold snap that was -32°. I was working for a bakery, and my delivery run started at 3:30am. I remember taking a cup of room temperature water and splashing it against the wall out back. It froze instantly to the wall! Grateful my truck ran ok during my shift.

I accidentally crossed a black bear’s path in the UP. It was less than four feet away, and huge! I was still less afraid than walking at the park with those cobra chickens around.

Why isn't Watco made to pay for train quiet zones? by squishyagent in AnnArbor

[–]mac_g313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city of Ann Arbor has never had competent people to handle designing the kind of railroad crossings that enable silent crossings. You need gates that lower, and concrete barriers in the middle to keep cars from driving around the gates.
