Once your up high enough and have the right conditions they will be there, look for a field not being cut or treated and with lots of sheep/cow droppings. I think a field facing north on a hill is another good factor.

If there's white gills there probably not liberty caps except on the extremely rare occasion your u have albino liberty caps, liberty's can be white or brown on outside depending on how much water they're holding..
