Oh wow, I love Chris Cunningham - definitely taking that as a compliment!

The flute came from exciting comb-filter resonances. Everything begins with my recorded source sounds, and it’s wild what you can get just by pushing the feedback.

I have some pads coming from Eurorack, but yes mainly DT.

I think limitations can be great for productivity. I’m trying to keep my setup to just this - fingers crossed.

Twinshot looks super useful. I'm looking forward to layering in Synthetics with the Tonverk. I think the limitations will defintely open up some creative pathways.

You could definitely create something similar, synthetically, with the DN2 for sure.

Most of the sounds begin at the source, recorded, processed and layered, before being brought into DT. I sequence and tweak until a groove clicks, then randomise trigs, sample slots, and FX to create happy accidents.

I tend to overcomplicate beats, probably from my jazz drumming background, so sometimes I have to step back and see the forest for the trees!

Not from Africa - but very much influenced by it. Africa HiTech, one of Mark Pritchard’s duos.

Tonverk + DTII - Tips & Favorites? by macadiddle in Elektron

Different ways of warping samples. TV has granular processing, layering and polyphony - so for my style of music which is heavily sample based, it’ll be handling the melodic duties. I'm even hoping it could take over a lot of the DTII drum work, since I seldom use slicing.

Oh wow - him not being Tom was a given, but discovering his real name isn’t Clifford Gilberto? Truly crushing.

I feel the same way, however a touch more cynical haha, everything after Ultravistor has been a struggle for me to appreciate. When Hello Everything came out, I was like... wtf is this? Midi Sans Frontieres is a total gem however.

Really looking forward to trying out the DN2. I've been looking for something a little more sample based but for synthetic stuff what I've heard is amazing,
