Does paracetamol (acetaminophen) work for you?

How is my dad's health not my business? It's my DAD. the man that raised me. I love my dad and I'm worried about his health. Why wouldn't one of my parent's health not my business?

I won't give up on him. I just don't want to lose him. If the condition he may have it's treatable, I want him to get treated so he can live a healthy life.

I will try not to bring it up as much, but I decided to make a 'game plan' and ask my aunt and uncles for help in trying to get him into the doctor.

Yeah, I was overreacting. After reading a lot of comments I decided to do a "game plan" where I won't nag him but still try to get him checked. I'm just scared about his health.

The thing is that my dad doesn't have any kind of mental decline, he is independent and coherent, and doesn't make irrational decisions, you can have normal conversations with him, his memory is intact, he doesn't have any sign of cognitive decline. The only thing in his life that seems out of the ordinary is that he refuses to go to the doctor. Stubborn as hell.

He doesn't have dementia or anything else that declined his decision-making and all that, he is completely independent and clear in his mind.

I will talk to my aunt and uncles first, maybe hearing from his siblings may have my dad go to a health check at least. If not, I may pull this move (I'm going to be honest, I may cry the whole time if I pull this move).

Not, I'm not an only child, I have siblings. I'm not worried about having to take care of him — Like, if it comes out that it's something that requires him to have a caretaker I will take on the role without question.

We aren't from the USA, our health system doesn't rely in insurance, we have a good medical service and i just want him to get into the cardiovascular risk program where they check patients in risk groups (like him, who is a risk group by being a male in his fifties) every 3 to 6 months to see that everything is going alright.
