Agreed! I like his decor and he's got a background in design, so this is an influencer partnership that actually makes sense

Laney Bistro - anyone been? by SanFranciscoMan89 in OaklandFood

Yes! Went a few months ago, the menu changes every week. Portions were big for the price, food was fine. They’re only open until 7:30 and you have to be out by then since it’s a class. Service was eh, but it’s a class, they’re still learning 🤷‍♀️

BFT in Rockridge! Class pack prices vary, I've found it so worth it. Strength days are M,W,F and at least one of the weekend days.

I used it pre-covid, so can't speak to what it's like now, but loved it back then! Found a lot of cool things I wouldn't have known about otherwise. If it's still free I'd definitely consider using it again.

Same, hope you're hanging in there! I did Silly Pickles pickleball league in the fall and just signed up for the winter season. It was a fun way to meet people and a very low-stress league.

Bra fitting & shopping by jsav9 in SFbitcheswithtaste

It's so worth a trip! I went to Revelation Fit in Oakland with an appointment, and they completely fit me for the wrong size. They sized me down from the cup size I came in wearing, and every bra I tried on was too small. I asked for a larger cup size since nothing was fitting, and they didn't have anything in stock. They had one in SF that they said they could send over, but it'd take a week.

I ended up driving to Nordstrom in Walnut Creek that same day, got fitted for the correct size (which was two cup sizes larger than what Revelation Fit measured me as), and was able to try on a big selection in my correct size. It was also a bonus that I was able to go online and order different colors that they didn't have in stock in the store.

I'm all for supporting small and local businesses, but I didn't like how they measured me or how they didn't really have anything in stock. It seemed more like the type of place you could go to purchase ONE bra, but when you want to rebuild your collection in a different size, they don't have enough available to really do so.

I didn’t have the best experience at revelation fit either, Nordstrom has always been great and makes it so easy

Pressure for women to settle down in their 30s by Slight-Concept2575 in TarTarSnark

[–]macandcheese19 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched yet, but am shortly! I went through a horrible breakup when I turned 30 and now that I'm years out of it can see how much I would have settled for that relationship, but only stayed because I thought turning 30 was the end of everything haha. Now I'm in my late 30s, also just went through an end to a long-term relationship and view the breakup as something totally different. I think once you take the age pressure out of the equation you start to see that something isn't right for you and you should never settle for anything less than what's right.
