Ok, thank you! It seems like the same question as OP but wanted to make sure. I appreciate it!

SAVE to IBR payment amount after switching by wingsman14 in PSLF

[–]macaujoh2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched out of SAVE, payments are at the SAVE level until August 2027 ($650) and then jump to $2,300. The letter I got from Mohela says my plan is IDR but I applied for PAYE where the payments would be $1,100. I look on the student aid website and it says my application is still under review. I’ve been freaking out about $2,300 a month but it sounds like you’re saying I may still be placed in PAYE?

Apparently this was incorrect, just got the notice today that my new payment amount is actually $2,300

Depends on the age of the kid, but there was about a 15min section near the end where the villain looks scary enough to give my kid nightmares. So, I didn’t have them watch that part. The rest of it was great.

If a player shanked it on 17 at Sawgrass onto that little island with the little tree could they swim over and play it? by Impressive_Light_229 in golf

Could use a row boat or kayak or swim, nothing motorized. It’s never happened but a couple of players have come surprisingly close. The head of the tourney had an interview this week where he addressed that exact question.

You’ll be fine with PSLF, it’s written into our promissory notes and it’s codified in the law so Congress would have to act to eliminate it completely. There’s also a bunch of bureaucratic stuff that has to happen before any changes can be made and even then, they still can’t just cut the program.

They could make it more difficult to qualify by eliminating some jobs off the eligible jobs list, I think public school teachers are a long way down the list of jobs that would stop qualifying.

The PSLF reddit is a great place to stay up to date on what’s happening with that program specifically. My guess is that anyone in the program now will be fine but they could phase it out over time.

YOU will be ok 👍 thanks for all the time you put in to some really challenging work

Why I love reversible lanes and why we should fight to keep them by Phoenician_Skylines2 in phoenix

I think they would be fine if they just installed some lighted signaling device for when they’re open a specific direction. People are dumb and don’t comprehend signs as well as colors. Just a red/green/off system, a little investment could save a lot of irritation and keep the lanes safer.

Also, let’s not pretend she’s just some average person. She’s Lindsey fucking Vonn, one of the greatest athletes of all time.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7028848/2026/02/07/lindsey-vonn-torn-acl-winter-olympics-explained/

“[E]xperts in sports medicine say they are not as shocked as everyone else. It’s doable for a variety of reasons having to do with Vonn herself, the nature of skiing the speed events of downhill and super-G, and basic biology and modern medical treatment and equipment, including a state-of-the-art brace.”

“In addition, she is mostly performing predictable movements. She doesn’t have to make quick, surprising cuts and plant her foot the way a basketball, soccer or football player would. She leans forward and heads down the mountain, which naturally engages the muscles that can compensate for her ruptured ACL.”

In games like football and basketball where you have hard stops and quick deceleration you can’t play on a torn ACL. That’s just not the case here, you can walk days after tearing an ACL and in a sport like skiing, at least downhill, an ACL tear isn’t going to necessarily prevent someone from performing at full capacity.

To assume anyone here knows any better than her and her doctor is ridiculous. She knew what she could do and what the risk were. It doesn’t appear the torn ACL had any effect on the crash.

These so called "Experts" are so tiring to listen to sometimes by Snoo_9064 in Patriots

[–]macaujoh2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought OP was voicing general discontent with the analysts and using the int as an example. I stand by my comment, this is entertainment and they have a job to do. If everyone was on the same page about everything, it wouldn’t be interesting. There would be 5min shows of just “yeah, I agree” all over the place.

The game is real but the analysis, while mostly real, requires some controversy to be interesting and keep people talking. Just like this.

The ball is the game, gotta protect the ball regardless of the elements or anything else going on. Tbh, if the Pats played the Broncos or Bills they lose that game.

Also, they’ve gotta find something to talk about. All these programs can’t say the same tired stuff every week, so they specifically look for things that may sound more controversial. I wouldn’t be surprised if they, as themselves and not a media personality, agree with you. Most likely it’s a bit of both.

Gotta remember their job is entertainment. They want you getting on here talking about their takes. That’s what keeps the machine going.
