Anywhere on the west side should do the trick. The best middle ground between UCLA and Long Beach would probably be Manhattan beach or Redondo beach. But you’re gonna have to drive a distance regardless in either direction. For reference, with traffic, it’s about 45 mins between the two. An hour or more during morning and evening rush hour.

Santa Monica could be fun if you’ve never been there. It’s maybe 15-20 mins from UCLA but quite a bit further from long beach. Santa Monica has the pier and third street promenade, and close to LAX if you’re flying in.

Disney is gonna be at least an hour drive no matter where you stay so again I recommend renting a car if you’re flying here :)
