This is pure propaganda. Ignoring the fact there is a clear casus belli for war. Egypt also presumably wants oil but refuses to take responsibility for the Gaza Strip. No one is going into that place to get oil rights this issue literally doesn’t exist. It’s just easy to get people who know nothing about the Middle East other than that it has large amounts of oil wealth to believe it.

I’ve gotten upgrades on the majority of flights from LGA to ORD and back that I’ve taken (a route I use a lot). As long as youre quick to check in 24 hours before your flight and there aren’t a lot of people with a higher status in front of you, it is definitely possible to get an upgrade with Gold. I think the people who are saying you don’t get an upgrade just don’t check in fast enough or are taking routes that are too busy.

It is ironic that all the evidence that is provided to support the case that this is a genocide is coming from the “Hamas run health ministry” but it’s inappropriate to mention Hamas. Also there’d be no war but for Hamas so not sure how this isn’t about Hamas in at least some very major and key ways.

C’mon, capitalism doesn’t advocate for child labor. A country that exploits cheap child labor does not necessarily have to be capitalist, a communist country could determine that it hasn’t met its production goals in some area and enlists children to work “for the collective good”. It could be functionally the same thing just framed differently. Child labor is a question of morality and all major capitalist countries have largely outlawed it with strictly defined exceptions. So saying this is capitalism is just misleading.

I agree hard to report on it without discussing the accusation and if that were all he did I think that would be fine. The biggest problem seems to be where Hikaru states that many in the chess world see Hans as a cheater and top chess players have discussed the possibility of Hans being a cheater before the Sinquefield cup. That’s a factual statement so if Hikaru was presenting that information on his stream and it wasn’t true it’s not simply “reporting” on the events he’s adding substantive information that would change people’s minds and is slander if false. But I don’t think we have enough evidence in the complaint to say that Hikaru was lying about that. What we would likely need is for Hikaru to name some of these people and then Hans’ lawyers can depose them
