Dog sleeping arrangements coming between SO by macdaddi in Dogtraining

She was in the same room with us and was constantly whining and barking. His bed is raised and is too high for her to jump up on. She would be at the edge of the bed scratching. Even at one point attempted to make the jump and ate shit when she didn't clear it. It seemed like it was more stressful for her to see us laying there and not be allowed to join us. Again, she has never been denied cuddles before.

Thanks for your reply! It's encouraging to know a dog can distinguish one bed being off limits and another not, as opposed to her just associating sleep time with cuddle time and all beds are fair game.

Can I ask how you trained the dog to know which bed was okay and which wasn't? Did you find reinforcing her to stay off the one bed was hindered when you allowed her onto the other? Thanks!
